"This is beautiful and quirky hotel in an old part of the town centre of Souillac. Owners appeared to be welcoming and charismatic. Lady owner communicates in English if struggling to speak in French. Rooms presented to be very nice and clean, while beds very comfortable. Bathroom appeared to be clean but would benefit from a little renovation. There is shower in the bathtub but no rail to attach it, which was a little bit inconvenient. There is cafe and dinning room downstairs, which seems to attract a lot of locals. Breakfast is served in the dinning room, though I would personally rather have something to eat elsewhere. Hygiene standards in the dinning room are not what I am used to, and are somehow low."

"A very convenient and comfortable base for our six-day exploration of the PĆ©rigord Noir region. Free parking. An easy walk into Sarlat old town. Breakfast was generous, sometimes we skipped lunch later. Quite a few restaurants and cafes nearby. There are no refrigerators in the rooms, if that is important to you. Staff are glad to fill ice / water thermos. Our room window looked out on greenery growing on the neighbors' roof. Stepping up into the bathroom took getting used to. Suggest some kind of night light in there. Would stay there again."
