Pacific Edge Hotel
4/10 Poor
"Location is nice, but that’s pretty much it. Have to pay a $45 A DAY for valet which sucks. The pictures on the site are misleading."

Dana Point Marina Inn

"It was fine. Just old. Elevator sounded sketchy but we survived."

Laguna Hills Lodge

"Ants in bed and in bathroom. Bathroom had a lot of mold"

Signature Temecula
10/10 Excellent
"Breakfast selection was toaster waffles, cereal, yogurt and bagels. While not as much as other sites, this was enough to sustain a morning! I did not test the pool or jacuzzi as it was still too chilly for me, but it appeared to be clean! The room was clean, We will stay there again for my next gourd class at Welburn's!"

LEGOLAND California Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"After we enjoyed the Legoland Theme Park we walked right on over to the Legoland Hotel to check in. We drove to a nearby panda express for dinner. There are dinning experiences close by or you can eat inside the Legoland Hotel. I liked the Adventure theme room located on the 3rd floor of the Legoland Hotel. We enjoyed dancing in the elevator. When we got to our room it was pretty clean but we did find crumbs on the floor. Other than that our kids had their own sleeping area. We were excited about the pool but it was closed due to an incident where it had to get cleaned. Fortunately, the kids enjoyed the dj party and had a blast dancing. There were also places for them to build with Legos. There is an arcade but we didn't use it. The bathrooms on site were clean. Our water was perfect during showers. In the morning we had the best complimentary breakfast that had several options at Bricks Family Restaurant. We will definitely be returning to the Legoland Hotel and would recommend to family and friends or anyone who wants to experience a great time."

Beachfront Inn and Suites at Dana Point
10/10 Excellent
"I loved the room, the view how convenient parking was! I’m booking my next stay really soon!"

Hyatt Vacation Club at The Welk, San Diego Area
2/10 Terrible
"Check-in was extremely frustrating and took over 1 hr and 20 mins to get through the line, and it was clear others had been waiting even longer. What made it more difficult was seeing several employees at the desks not actively helping guests; some were on their phones or chatting, and even a manager appeared to be focused on tidying the desk area instead of assisting with the growing line. After finally checking in, I was directed to the concierge desk for a parking pass, which was unexpected. There, several employees were gathered and it was a forced review of the timeshare offerings and amenities, which I did not sign up for. By that point, my kids had been waiting nearly 2 hours after a long travel day, which made the experience especially frustrating. The room itself was comfortable and we did enjoy the pool areas. However, some of the policies and operations felt inconvenient. For example, not being allowed to bring pool towels back to the room meant walking back in 65-degree, windy weather without staying warm. In addition, the market was closed, and it was difficult to get into the restaurant since it was the only dining option available. The TVs were also quite outdated and antiquated. There was no option to sign in to streaming services - including screencast - a basic expectation at all hotels for vacation and work travel. Overall, we did have a good vacation, but largely because we chose to spend most of our time off the resort. I won't recommend this hotel. "

Motel 6 Oceanside, CA
2/10 Terrible
"Please don't come here. All rooms say non smoking but they reek of smoke. Made me nauseous and my kids had headaches. The room has no real amenities. Only 1 toilet paper roll. No towels, no dryer, no shampoo or conditioner. One one bar of soap. And our room was so so small that the a/c unit under the room window touched the bed. So whoever slept on that bed had the a/c blasting on their butts. Because is was mostly blocked the room was not cooling, just that bed. Please go somewhere else!!!"
