"The room and gardens are absolutely beautiful! It is very quiet and serene, and very special to stay in a room literally built against a cliff face. The minibar was well stocked, and prices were reasonable. The view to the Roman buildings is impressive during the day and at night as they are illuminated. A very easy walk into town, and the host have us several recommendations for restaurants. We are at Sal8, which was delicious and very busy/popular, so make sure to book!"

"It is very natural to get lost on the winding alleys of Agrigento, but that is part of the fun of staying here. The property is very old, but very lovely and the rooms inside have been nicely updated. "Alloggio della Posta Vecchia has a lot of charm, but it comes with a few challenges. The townhouse itself is lovely and well decorated, and our room was beautiful—full of character and very inviting. The web photos are just as it really looks. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. However, getting there was tricky. The streets are narrow and the area busy, making it hard to find. Our host directed us, but the language barrier meant we didn’t fully understand the instructions. Also, be prepared for lots of stairs and uphill walking, so this is not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues. In short: gorgeous and atmospheric, but best for agile travelers who don’t mind a bit of a search to find it."

"Our host was wonderful! Breakfast was HUGE and he packed us lunch both days as a take out which we appreciated. It was very hard to identify the building and parking was difficult to find close by so we drove around a bit before finding where we were to be. Location was excellent once we got settled."

"Definitely don't judge the place based on the exterior. Once inside there was an elevator to help with getting our bags to the 2nd floor. Parking was easily available just outside the building. Room was spacious, especially the bathroom. We had a nice view of the temples which were lit up at night. Place was ideally located between the entrance to Valley of the Temples and the city of Agrigento which we were able to walk to easily, although the uphill path towards the city is not that attractive."
