Convenient location so would stay again: Pros; Comfortable lounge and bar area, new hotel so rooms nicely appointed with safe & fridge. Quiet so good night's sleep. Cons; no one told us you need to use your key card to work the lift! Free wifi really poor which was frustrating for this type of hotel; no instructions as to how you work the air con or tv so we gave up, breakfast charge was £18! so we ate elsewhere. Shower had some mould.

Beautiful hotel, clean and quiet considering it’s next to a train station. Food was superb, dinner was delicious despite the price and plenty of choice for breakfast. The only criticism I have would be the staff who were very polite and professional when spoken to however could have been more attentive. Had to ask for the bill 3 times after dinner and on check in at reception no information was given about hotel facilities, check out time, breakfast times etc. Great location can get train into Cambridge or drive from the hotel however parking is expensive in Cambridge and at the hotel (depending on your duration) so would have been nice to have free parking given the price paid for the room. Overall though very pleasant and comfortable stay.

I am a big fan of this hotel and have been twice now and have already book another stay. It is great for young families. The only downside is the fact the pool does get incredibly busy very quickly. A booking system might be better on the days the hotel is busy. I did encounter some issues during my stay but the team worked to rectify this and were incredibly polite and understanding.

Hotel was nice, breakfast was great, enjoyed a swim in the warm pool. Friendly staff and super efficient check-in. Our only issue was that I woke up with 8 bites on my arm - staff suggested these may be mosquito bites but it’s March in England?

This was a fantastic stay. We stayed for one evening and used the pool. Our 5 year old son was overjoyed with this. Train into Cambridge takes about 5 minutes and was really cheap. Room was spacious and clean and at time of booking we had booked two rooms (one for my parents) and that was conveniently opposite our room. The staff in the restaurant went out of their way on every occasion we dined in there. During our evening meal, which was incredibly nice and all freshly homemade, the man servi g us was incredibly kind and attentive to my son and even brought him extra fruit. The next day at breakfast, having realised it was our sons birthday some sweet treats were brought to our table and a chorus of happy birthday sung. It really made his day. We will definitely stay at this hotel agin! Thanks so much!

My room was booked in my name by my PA, who booked using a company credit card. This seemed to cause the reception person a lot of trouble and (for the second time) he tried to get me to pay for the room on my own credit card. I'll be staying at the hotel a couple of nights every week and really don't want to run into this each time I stay

A great hotel for a car free visit to Cambridge. It’s right next to Cambridge north station and there’s a bus right outside the hotel that takes you to Cambridge city centre within 15 mins. Lovely pool, comfortable beds and rooms and nice breakfast. Very friendly staff.

They say that staff make a visit worthwhile. I stay in a lot of hotels on business and have to say that the staff here from entering to leaving were so helpful and friendly, great rooms, great breakfast.

Looks great, staff lack training.
New hotel, nice decor, great parking and conveniently right next to station which is just 4 minutes into Cambridge. Nice in room amenities. Service levels pretty poor, some staff lack basic training while others have to make up for them and are probably exhausted. Normally I’d understand keeping staffing levels is difficult in recent years but this place has an abundance of people standing around. Perhaps they’re underpaying?! Pool area always full during our stay even late in evening. Gym lovely, great for hotel this size. Changing rooms tiny and covered in water and people’s fluff. Grim.

A great location for Cambridge and the surrounding areas. I had a very early train to catch at the adjacent station the following morning and preferred to stay overnight rather than have to get up at 3am to travel from home. Ample parking immediately next door in the station carpark. Speedy check in. Room was super quiet and well provided for with tea/coffee facilities, iron and ironing board, etc. I skipped breakfast and didn’t eat there in the evening so cant comment on the food. Staff were friendly and I got an excellent night’s sleep.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly kind and helpful. I arrived early and was allowed to check-in straight away and go to my room, even with an upgrade! A full breakfast is available or a smaller option from the bar - great service.
