"I booked Palm Garden Hotel through Hotels.com based on its strong ratings, but my experience was very disappointing. At first glance, the exterior looked fine. I parked in the motor court and walked into the lobby, where loud rap music with explicit lyrics was blasting through the hall while an event appeared to be getting set up. It was not an appropriate or welcoming first impression. To be fair, the front desk staff member who checked me in was very kind, courteous, and pleasant. The room itself looked recently refurbished, with a more modern white-and-gray design, but the quality of the renovation was very poor. Even worse, the room smelled like an old apartment building. We had a king bed and a sofa bed, but when we opened the sofa bed, the couch smelled bad and had visible stains. I could not imagine anyone sleeping on the mattress inside it. I called the front desk for a rollaway bed, and it was brought up promptly. Again, the staff member was very nice, but it was unsettling to watch her clean the rollaway bed before putting linens on it. That only added to the feeling that the room and furnishings were not truly clean. Ultimately, we decided not to stay and booked another hotel, even though we had already paid. Between the odor, the stained sofa bed, the dirty rollaway bed, and the poor-quality refurbishment, the room did not feel clean or comfortable. This hotel may be less expensive than some nearby options, but not enough to make the experience worth it."

"I chose this property bc of the high rating. Although it was fine, it was quite worn down. And the free breakfast was really disappointing, just cereal and some dry bread-y products (you could get a cooked breakfast for $5). I’m actually surprised it was a Best Western Plus as opposed to just a Best Western. It was your basic no-frills hotel. I wouldn’t give it above a 7."

"Parking was very tight. Scraped the car on a metal pole trying to squeeze between 2 poles. Room was small, and aged but clean."

"There was no hot water, the phone wasn't working, needed to call the lobby. No funtional ice machine."

"The ac unit was not working properly the thermostat wasn’t connected and kept having to adjust the unit itself and couldn’t get an even temp. The hallways really had a horrible smell and the breakfast was very sub par. These rooms were way too pricey for the quality of the place. Will definitely not be staying at a Fairfield in the future "
