This refreshing green area used to work as a complement of the important Thermal Hospital that named the town of Caldas da Rainha (“Queen‘s Baths“). During the 15th century the Queen Dona Leonor, wife of king Manuel the 1st, tried the therapeutic waters of Caldas da Rainha and a long lasting wound was at last cured, after many other treatments and medicines that did not work out. As the Queen realised the excellent characteristics of the waters, she ordered the construction of a thermal Hospital in 1485. The location started developing around this central Hospital

Well established hotel with good enough facilities. Friendly efficient staff. Good location for walking into Caldas centre with shops and bars. Surprisingly large and sunny pool area ideal for relaxing and families.

Staff was very friendly and informed. Fabio and Clara were professional and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was great. My compliments to to kitchen and hotel staff for there hard work and cleaniness. They are are a credit to the hotel.

Séjour agréable, petit déjeuner passable

Le personnel à la réception est agréable et souriant. Chambre très agréable et spacieuse avec climatisation, refaite à neuf. Literie confortable, salle de bain agréable avec tout le nécessaire (shampoing, gel douche), présence d'un petit réfrigérateur, très pratique. Piscine agréable avec transat. Présence d'une aire de jeux pour enfants qui mérite un nettoyage et des réparations. Tout a été correct sauf pour le petit déjeuner : basique, pas assez de choix, que ce soit salé ou sucré.

Check-in não foi possível no horário definido, 4 Horas depois. Comando da TV não funcionava, troca de comando idem. Ligar, desligar e mudar de canais só na TV, além disso écran muito pequeno. Sem toalhas para o chão após o banho. Candeeiros da cama desligados, eu tive que ligar o do lado da janela, o outro nem ficha encontrei. Limpeza muito a desejar... Foi uma desilusão.

La habitación desprendía un hedor tremendo. Las duchas, sucias, toda la grifería oxidada y lleno de moho. La cisterna soltaba agua creando un charco en el suelo. Los secadores de pelo de ambas habitaciones, ninguno funcionaba. Ningún tipo de mantenimiento. Las ventanas ni cerraban (ni abrían) correctamente. Sin agua por la noche en ninguna habitación, hicieron alusión a un corte de agua. El desayuno bastante justito.

O hotel em si não é mau, mas é muito antiquado, ficou parado no tempo. As casas de banho são péssimas, velhas, a precisar de manutenção. O chuveiro do meu quarto não funcionava, a torneira deitava uma água amarelada nojenta. A luz do espelho da casa de banho fazia um barulho super incomodativo e estranho sempre que acesa. A varanda estava suja, com cabelos, teias de aranha, folhas de árvores, pó, denotando-se a falta de limpeza e cuidado. O pequeno almoço era muito fraco, tendo apenas pão, café, sumo, croissants, queijo, fiambre, cereais, iogurtes e 3 qualidades de frutas. Num dos dias vi uma mosca no fiambre, andava por lá a passear. Os únicos pontos positivos que posso ressalvar é a simpatia dos funcionários e a cama que era bastante confortável.

Correct pour une nuit de passage

Bon accueil de la réception malgré une arrivée tardive. Le matin, petit problème avec la salle de bain qui s’était verrouillée et donc inaccessible, mais résolu rapidement par un agent de service.

Het personeel was vriendelijk en probeerde behulpzaam te zijn, maar de receptie werd soms bemand door iemand die buiten Portugees geen andere taal sprak. De inrichting en aankleding is redelijk onderhouden, maar zeer verouderd. Op onze kamer was geen beker of glas aanwezig. Bij de receptie wilde men ons graag kartonnen bekers verstrekken (nadat duidelijk was gemaakt wat er aan de hand was). De kamer was voorzien van een ruim balkon.

d'exterieur rien n'a redir, interieur besoin d'un rafraichissement. Une seule personne de l'accueil est peu agréable et prend les clients de haut. Sinon le reste de l'équipe est à l'écoute des clients et fait le nécessaire pour que l'on se sente bien
