Monshat Nasr

Cairo

#History

Also known as the Cairo Necropolis is a very interesting place to explore. The juxtaposition of life and death makes it very unique. The city has many historic tombs from the Islamic-era.

Tombs are structures often with a few rooms and even a garden.

Many inhabitants of the city were caretakers that moved there with their families and others followed suit.

It was really interesting to me to witness how people here carry on with their everyday lives.

Breakfast was good. Service was average. Rooms were spacious and clean. Noise from outside dogs barking, cars honking was non stop. The interconnected rooms, though closed off, neighbours were smoking and it kept coming into our rooms. I would not stay here again

The quality of the Marriott was above and beyond! The food and drinks were excellent but way overpriced. Go out and visit the local seen. Food and drinks are way less than half of the price. Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff.
