"We spent a delightful six nights at Victoria House. The owner, Jan, was a gracious and very helpful host. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. No breakfast was served, but there are many excellent breakfast spots within a five minute walk. And the room came with ground coffee and a French press coffee maker, plus excellent snacks. The location within the old city walls and adjacent to the sea is perfect. "

"The cottage was quaint and cosy with comfortable furniture and everything anyone could need in terms of kitchen equipment, including an air-fryer, a slow cooker, a toaster, a microwave and a fridge-freezer. There was even sachets of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits and, on the dining table, sachets of ketchup, mayo, etc. The lovely owners had even put a bottle of Chardonnay in the fridge to welcome us, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast selection plentiful and hot, evening meals superb & well priced. "What a fantastic place! It is in a fairy tale setting and the grounds and town are beautiful! Regan is very knowledgeable about the area and gives great recommendations for places to visit and hike. The food is exceptional and the staff warm and friendly. This was our favorite spot on our 2 week long trip. Highly recommended! "
