"Our family was extremely disappointed with our stay. We picked this hotel specifically, due to the listing indicating that the hotel had a pool. This was extremely important for our stay considering my son is autistic and requires sensory relief. The listing is false advertisement. Tim, who worked at the front desk did not handle the situation properly, not only did he offer no compensation and/or token of apology, but laughed in our faces when we were visibly upset about the circumstances....

"I booked this hotel based on its high ratings, so I was surprised by my experience. I'm not sure how this property has an 8/10 rating. The hotel felt old and had an unpleasant smell. The shower drained very slowly, the water pressure was poor, and the Wi-Fi was so weak that I couldn't even connect to it. I stayed for a few days while visiting the area. The only positives were the convenient location near the highway and the attentive cleaning staff, who did a great job. Unfortunately, I won't be...

"The front desk staff were all great. The gentleman in the breakfast room kept things very tidy and the food was well prepared and plentiful. The room was nice and clean. The only negative was a cloudy pool so we did not use it."

"Cleanliness was excellent as well as customer service. Very convenient as well as there was a Hannaford grocery store, CVS and Walgreens all within walking distance. Mini Golf across the street and Wingz It had very good food. It was also only 10 minutes driving to the beach. Would definitely stay here again:)"

"We loved our stay at The Rockport House. It was within walking distance to town, though there is no staff on the premises, with one call or text, we had every question answered. Loved our room, loved the places to sit in the shade. We will definitely be back! One suggestion, have a water refilling station in the main house."

"I felt this room was a health hazard. The carpet was wet and musty from humidity which left the tile wet when walked on. (Slipped but didn't fall.) The bathroom smelled like methane gas or sulfur our entire stay. The rubber seal on the bottom of the shower door is missing so water leaked onto the floor unless we figured a way to stuff a face cloth in the opening. The maintenance person was hosing down our entryway (?) as we returned to our room, leaving us with wet feet as we entered. This hotel...

"We were assigned a room on the first floor because we are handicapped. Although the hotel rooms are ALL nonsmoking, the room REEKED of cigarettes. We were then moved to a very acceptable room but it was on the second floor - with no elevator. The desk clerk helped to carry our luggage upstairs. All was well until check out, when we had to carry things downstairs. "
