"Clean room although too small for a queen bed and a made up sofa bed - which I didn’t need. Plenty of parking space. Good choice of food for breakfast. Complimentary water. Nice air con and a fabulous shower"

"Great welcome for my early arrival. Easy to park. Check in was smooth although i wasnt asked if i would like to add breakfast. Room clean and a very welcome fan set up. 20%off food and drink so i stayed at the hotel for dinner. Limited choice but was nice and i ate outside. Following morning i was earlier than anticipated so i had time for breakfast. Unable to use the discount and i couldnt find anything that informed me i couldnt use it so this was annoying. One member of breakfast staff...

"Great pub/hotel/bistro in a beautiful peaceful village. Staff were extremely helpful. We had a wedding with so needed an early check-in and late return. Both were accommodated for. Room was clean, fresh. Continental breakfast was included in price. We also paid extra for cooked b/fast. Very nice freshly cooked, hot, good quality products. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend the Star Inn and stay there again. Or even go for a nice meal. Give it a go ! "

"Located in Glaston, we used the old pheasant for an overnight base whilst travelling through. Family suite was generous in space, clean and comfortable. Kids had private sleeping space. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant and was looked after by the front of house team who were excellent. We stayed for breakfast and enjoyed both a continental and cooked breakfast. Food was value for money and service was fantastic throughout the visit. Would stay again. Value for money."

"The property is tired and rooms and bathrooms need updating. Beautiful old hotel with history! Staff extremely helpful with a smile. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately the boiler was not working in the main building but the rooms with hot water were too hot in 30+ degree temps, uncomfortable to sleep in, so we were given both rooms, one where it was cool enough to sleep in and the other we can have hot water. Very accommodating! Thank you."

"I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks with my kids. Traveling from CA. All staff are extremely friendly! Breakfast was great! Wish they had waffles but nonetheless food was good. They have a shell gas station with bfast sandwiches, snacks and amenities across the parking lot. Also a KFC. I would definitely recommend!!"
