We stayed for 2 nights in April during a rail trip in Europe. It was about a 10 minute walk from the main station to this B&B in a very 'local' area. Finding the gate was interesting, hidden amongst small shops, but once inside the huge courtyard it was fantastic. It is a genuinely 'shabby' set of buildings with the Budapestville set at the far end. The welcome we received was warm and we felt a genuine interest in what we wanted to get from our stay. The advice given for restaurants and transport possibilities was perfect, real insider tips. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated with a decent ensuite shower room. Breakfast is provided in the room and we found a very generous supply of juice, yogurts, cheese & meat, jams, fruit. The packed baked things were fine, but fresh bread is always nicer! Our host was kind and attentive, but not always present which is fine. Easy access to Heroes Square and Szechenyi Spa, also Andrassy Ave. Best to take the underground into main city as it would be a really long walk! Only a few minutes walk to the station. Clean and quiet accommodation, good value budget choice.
