"The property is quite old, like most of the buildings in the area, but the room was nice and clean and the staff was excellent. The breakfast was very varied and tasty as well. As a downside, we were on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. The room also didn’t have a TV or a small fridge/freezer, so it’s basically just a place to lay down and sleep."

"Everything was very clean, and the room was lovely with a perfect canal view. The location is excellent—just a one-minute walk from the bus stop, which saved me from a lot of walking. Both the service and breakfast were wonderful. You walk to the next building for breakfast, but it only takes a minute. It is definitely worth staying here."

"My daughter and I had a great time in Venice and would highly recommend staying at Antico Protego. The room was spotless and comfortable. Nicole was excellent at responding quickly via WhatsApp and we received all info required prior to arriving. The location couldn’t be better with easy access to both the train station and the water shuttle. Also very close to many restaurants and other amenities. Had a tricky time finding it at first as the sign shown in the pictures is not there. ...

"No physical staff present at hotel during evening hours so if any problem, no one will help you. Coffee machine wasn't working in my room. It is close to Rialto, probably 5 min walk, but very very inconvenient if you have luggage with you. Overall I didn’t like my experience, though it was 1 night."

"Easy stay at these well appointed apartments. The staff answered questions and sorted issues quickly via email. Useful to have the kitchen and washing machine and the kids liked having their own rooms. We loved staying on Giudecca and getting the vaporetto to wander Venice, but when we fancied staying closer to home there were good local restaurants nearby to the apartments and the coop was useful and only a few minutes walk. "
