"A shame breakfast not cooked to order. Impressive dining room, just avoid tables on a through- route. Well staffed all great at up-selling. Had a room in the main house which had difficult access to the bathroom, especially at night. (Three narrow steps up). Check in/put very smooth. Comfortable lounge areas"

"The staff were polite and friendly, especially the young lady who ran through our room facilities. The car park at the rear was a bonus to be off the main road. The room was generally very clean, just some stains on part of the showers grout and dust behind the bed. The room was warm and comfortable with a set of drawers as a wardrobe wouldn't fit. "The staff were very friendly on arrival however there were some miscommunication and we were left for half an hour waiting to be checked in whilst we were missing the wedding which we questioned, the room was okay, quite small and basic but no issues, unfortunately there were skid marks in the toilet from someone else which then made us question the cleanliness, the light had a sensor in the bathroom and it kept going on and off during the night making a clicking noise which was quite annoying. "

"The hotel itself was clean, rooms and toilet room were a good size. Would have been more convenient if the rooms had little fridges in them. Bar and lounge area and the garden were nice areas to sit in. More ice at the bar would have been nicer as well. "

"While I appreciate this is a historic and therefore old property, which is what attracted us to book, the building could do with some tlc. The outside of the building windows looked dreadful and need repainting, particularly back of the building overlooking the car park. The inside walls up the stairs and in corridors need painting. It needs a refresh as it is looking tired inside. Having said that we enjoyed our stay and had a very good time. We would stay again."
