"1. There were many dead bees to start off with
2. Bedside lamps didn’t even work so we had to sleep with the main light on.
3. The pressure of the sink in the toilet was disastrous as it was too high and would go everywhere and the water kept turning on and off .
4. The main light kept flickering.
5. There was also no staff in the property and when we faced some problems in the night and we weren’t comfortable to phone them in the night ."

"Okay for a place to stay but its a help yourself breakfast. No staff around. No staff to check you in. I had to phone to get someone to come out. And no one says 'Hello Old Star B&B'. Just 'Hello, Karen speaking.' How are you supposed to know you've reached the right number? No staff on check out. I just left the keys on the bed. Poor customer service."

"We had a great one night stay at Berwick Lodge on a a Monday to celebrate a birthday. The sun shone and the Housemartins flew happily around whilst we sat on the terrace having a cocktail.
The à la carte menu was fantastic - well worth the cost and breakfast was very tasty.
Will definitely stay again in one of the other fantastic looking rooms."

"Good location, lovely helpful staff.
Plenty of lounge space and bar area.
Yummy cocktails.
Our room and bathroom were spacious and had an iron and hairdryer.
Didn't like the digital check in as it had a glitch which meant we couldn't get our room number and had to wait a long time at reception as staff were very busy.
Our room was clean but the windows of our room were filthy so hard to see out well.
Some of soft furnishings tired and worn ."
