My kids were stranded at Bristol airport after Easyjet cancelled the last flight home. I booked the hotel for them, but because of corporate policy, Holiday Inn would not let them stay as they are under 18yo., but also wouldn’t let me cancel and get a refund!!!!
My 16yo girl and her 14yo brother had to sleep on the footpath outside the airport until 3am when security would reopen.
I spoke to the hotel and of course they said they would speak to a manage (that’s corporate speak for “I’m not going to speak with anyone and just lie to you”) and would call me back, which they didn’t.
My kids have travelled to more countries than most of the the Holiday Inn’s staff and are know how to be more adult than a majority of the people who stay at Holiday Inn’s.
When will compasión and understanding for kids come ahead of “corporate policy”. Clearly Corporate Policy of Holiday Inn was created by people who never had children. Or a conscience!!!
Holiday Inn should be absolutely ashamed of themselves! They are as bad as Easyjet!!!
