4/10 Poor

"Told at check in that pool and hot tub were closed for painting. Very dissapointed. 2 elevators, only one working. Room we were given had toilet paper in the toilet and a nasty brown substance on the wall. The bathroom door would not open fully because it hit the toilet. We switched rooms. New room was cleaner, but had an unpleasant odor that lasted all 4 days of our stay. Would never stay here again."

"The staff were excellent. The room was clean but showing signs of age. Also instead of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower there were three shampoos. The hot tub didn’t work. The small pool was crowded with kids which isn’t really a complaint but more so an observation. The gym is small but got the job done however one of the treadmills didn’t work at all. When I paid in the app it said it included their breakfast but when I checked in they said it did not. "

"The website claimed a "view." There was a "view," of the parking lot and the Atlantic Ocean some 200 to 300 yards away. The front desk clerk informed me that i should have been more attentive and selected "ocean view." Ooops, my bad. Next time I'll be sure. "

"Loved this place! I'm kind of picky about hotels. I can't stand a dirty smelly place. This place was very clean and comfortable. We stayed in it for a few days before heading to a family gathering. Then we booked it again for a night before leaving town. The second stay I guess I booked a room that was the last king bed and happened to be the handicap accessible corner room. It was way big and explained the slightly higher price. Even though a paid a little more it was a very restful sleep and nice stay before our flight back home. I will definately stay here again when I'm visiting family that live in Virginia Beach. I also didn't clue into the continental breakfast the first stay, but the second stay it was a great spread. Lots of seating that was clean and someone was there refilling food and wiping down tables. Parking was easy and close and the staff was very friendly."
