"Highlights are the centre-of-town location, the restaurant/breakfast room and lovely character of the hotel. Staff were friendly and room was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was good, ours being cooked-to-order but the buffet ‘full-English’ was less appealing (bacon not replenished and fried eggs that looked like they had been standing for some time - the latter should be cooked fresh to order). Decor in places (corridors especially) due for a refresh and the outlook of our first-floor room was into a ‘well’ facing other rooms’ windows. Overall a pleasant one-night stay and walkable to the City hospital."
"It was what it was. It’s not 5* but it’s somewhere to get the head down. Staff are friendly and helpful and the views are stunning. Would stop again. "
"I received an email on the Friday saying because they were putting in a new jacuzzi and haven’t finished the work, there would be no access to the sauna, steam or jacuzzi (of course). It was too late to cancel, but the whole point of staying in this particular hotel was for access to these amenities.
Spoke to the manager and sent emails expressing disappointment.
There was nothing in compensation offered at all. Very poor! "
"Room was beautiful with its stained glass door to the bathroom. Staff friendly. Well placed for exploring national park. We hope to return. Thank you.😊"
