"Despite the incredibly hot weather and lack of aircon (due to the age of the beautiful building) our room was wonderfully cool. The lady on reception was so personable, polite and friendly, a joy to deal with. Perfect for visiting friends in Stratton Court Village."

"As a family we have stayed at this hotel a number of times now, as it is a great stop off point for us on the way to Cornwall. The staff are very helpful and polite, the hotel itself is very clean and spacious, and the swimming pool, whilst being small, is a great attraction for us. The only thing I would say is that if you want dinner in the restaurant then it is imperative that you reserve a table ahead of time, otherwise it will likely be fully booked."

"Great property and friendly staff. Refurbed rooms look great although the water pressure was white low. Beds are really comfortable. Only negative was no aircon, which is mitigated by fans, but the windows don't really open more than an inch (2nd floor) so impossible to get air flow. Doesn't really cater for children, with.thijgs like bed guards, considering how high the beds are"

"The staff were friendly and helpful when it came to places to visit nearby. The continental breakfast was lovely and the 2 course dinner was good value for money. The swimming pool, sauna and steam were well maintained however our room needed a few repairs and the towels had seen better days. We would give it an 8/10"

"I enjoyed the stay and it was peaceful. Loved the leisure facilities. Breakfast ok as its the basic intercontinental. Environment good and cool but it would be nice for cool air fan to be available in the room if not AC to accommodate the current hot weather. Also, TV is not a smart TV to reflect the standard of modern hotels."

"My son and I stay here for one night every year in the summer holidays with our dog for a little get away. We love it! The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are extremely comfortable and the view is incredible!"

"I chose this as an inexpensive hotel in the right area, and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were helpful, my room (for one) compact but clean, and in a heat wave, cool. Bed v comfortable. Small bathroom was likewise compact but clean. Breakfast was available, and also a gym. Also dog friendly, though I didn't take my dog. I would be happy to return ๐"
