"Spacious suite had big windows, beautiful view of Lake Superior. Wood burning fireplace! Big bathroom with jet tub. Right next to Cascade State Park for waterfalls, hikes. Restaurant - food is excellent (highly recommend the salmon with ginger persimmon compote, and the "wild burger")!!"

"I was very nervous after reading the reviews but we had a great stay. It's nothing fancy but the staff was great, the room had a beautiful view and it served its purpose. This location alone is worth the price we paid, which you're not going to find cheaper in Grand Marais. I mean, you're next door to World's Greatest Doughnuts! Maybe we just got lucky with our specific room but I think alot of the people in these reviews expected a 5 Star resort and just love to complain, but you get what you pay for! I would stay again! "
