"The hotel was clean and looked newer. They have a snack area where you can buy a lot of different snacks and drinks. Their sister hotel right next door has a bar you can use. They have several fire pits and an indoor pool. We didn’t use the fire pits but we used the pool. It was a little chilly but nice. The room was clean and spacious. "This property is located on Moss landing, which is about 25 minutes to the Fisherman’s wharf. It’s located right off the Salinas river. To go to the beach you just need to go over the bridge and dunes. Ocean by this area has strong current. Don’t recommend getting in water. Inn is in Quiet location with minimal traffic. "The property is very charming. While mainly an event venue, as a one or more days stay it is a real value. A similar hotel would have been about 50% more. It is close to old town Salinas and the Steinbeck center, as well as a half hour from Monterey. Very quiet and lovely grounds. "

"We love the Sanctuary and we come ever year for our anniversary. We celebrated my birthday here this year and they gifted us champagne and macarons, as well as several other perks! "The staff were accommodating when we get there. The room is clean and spacious. Though its infront of the gasoline station and along the highway, it's very quiet once you are inside the room. "Nice room, huge bathroom, comfortable bed. A little noisy since we were on the end unit near the street but didn't keep us awake. Only complaint is you got 4 Keurig cups for our entire 3 night stay. You had to buy others for $1 each. C'mon man!😁"
