Thought dinner was available but not so. Description was there was a nice bar, not so.. could get a beer but not really a bar. Very minimalist. Quiet and comfy , but not as described.

The lake view was beautiful. We had a loft room for our family of 5 and it worked out fine for us. Easy to find, easy to park. Good breakfast in the morning. Friendly family that runs it.

This family owned hotel is an absolute gem. The rooms are modern and clean. It’s an amazing location overlooking a valley and 10 minutes from Hussafell. The family is very friendly and the meals were great. We also saw the Northern Lights so clearly from here away from the light pollution of Reykjavík. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Hotel A. Our host was warm and welcoming; he gave us a lot of information about sights to see in the area. Breakfast was also wonderful, a good variety of foods to choose from. Unfortunately, since we were visiting during the low season, the restaurant was not offering dinner. We had to find a takeaway meal to adapt to this situation.

Unbelievable!
The hotel room was warm, welcoming and CLEAN!!! The staff were so accommodating. The restaurant was delicious and well worth the price paid. The views were so beautiful! Highly recommended.

I loved this quiet family-run hotel in rural Iceland. The property was beautiful and it was a perfect place to stay before our last day of travel on the Ring Road. The owners and staff are incredibly kind. The hotel is just minutes from beautiful waterfalls. All in all—a lovely experience.

The location is remote, but the views are beautiful. Rooms are very nice with lofts. The host is wonderful. He marked up a map for us when we told him what we planned for the day, and he provided some commentary to help. The breakfast is also very nice.

I loved my stay at Hotel A. The family that own it are charming and hard working. It is a little gem hidden amongst farms. I highly recommend a stay here!

My family and I stayed here for 2 days - using it as a hub to explore the peninsula. The staff was so nice and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were great for our family. Highly recommend.

The room was extremely warm to sleep in and so we propped the window open (screened window). Felt bugs crawling and flying on us and woke up with more than 20 bites. This was our 7th night staying in Iceland and the only location we had an issue with this.

Walls were dirty. There was a blob of something right by the head of the bed. This same wall also had crayon marks. Bathroom had no hand soap in dispenser. Also, the room had one roll of toilet paper for three women.

We barely arrived in time for check, since we landed 3 hours late amidst a strong wind storm. This location is remote, and GPS directions sketchy. BUT the accommodations were very good. Geo thermal heated slate floors were awesome. The Breakfast was simple great tasty. The homemade fruit spread and homemade chocolate spread were awesome. Would recommend. Plus Fluffy treated us nicely.

One of my favorite top 3 accommodations weve had in Iceland. . Peaceful, clean and the dinner was fabulous. Dog Loki greets you which is the best part. Wifi worked fine for work. No tv which is not what we needed anyway. Enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Adam is very accommodating and very helpful. The place although a little bit isolated is very clean and well furnished. It’s like each room is a complete small house in the prairie. Amenities are excellent. Also located near some nice and amazing waterfalls and views. Thumbs up for the rooms/cottages and Adam.

Such a great find! Small, family run hotel in the country. Friendly and helpful. Comfortable and wonderful dinner and breakfast. Just what we needed after a long day of traveling. Our app took to the wrong location, but with a couple of phone calls, we found it with no problem.

We were so lucky to find Hotel a! An absolutely gorgeous little inn, on a historic family property. The host was amazingly helpful, and the dinner was truly the best card I’ve ever had in my life! Breakfast was also spectacular. Our room was immaculate and extremely comfortable. Highly recommend!

This was a great stopover on the Ring Road. The room was comfortable and spacious. The included breakfast was the best we ate while in Iceland - plenty of options and they were all very tasty! Very friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Wow, what a great place. We were in room 24, best one location wise so ask for it. Very comfy, plenty of room. The shower wasn’t the best but it did it’s job. The breakfast buffet in main building was delicious. They have a bread loaf there that was to die for. We didn’t try the dinner as cod and lamb were only entrees on the menu. My daughter is way too picky and wouldn’t have eaten that but everyone who was having dinner seemed to enjoy it. We did have to make the one hour drive back to Borgarnes to get dinner but it’s not a bad drive. The hosts were super generous and friendly. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Enjoyed just sitting in the main cabin living area with a book and a beer. Fun dog on property that loved belly rubs. My 9 year old fell in love with him. Vidgelmer cave tour just down the road is a must do. Stay here, I promise you will love it!!!

Beautiful setting and comfortable stay. The loft upstairs was convenient for our son and we enjoyed the views right out of our window and porch. Food was delicious at the on site dining room but a bit pricy. We enjoyed staying there as our venture point for trips north and west, also checked the nearby waterfalls and nature reserve. Overall highly recommended and friendly.

Hôtel A is a lovely place to stay in west Iceland and it would be a good starting point to explore the west Iceland. The hotel is made from wood and it’s location is amazing have a nice river and Mountain View in a quite place. Breakfast was really good and we enjoyed. There is a large dining and sitting area enjoying the rest of the day in the hotel. Owner and staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Strongly recommended and I would say that this is the most enjoyable place where we stayed in Iceland.

Lovely experience off the beaten path. The owners were so helpful with suggestions on food, activities and sights. The rate included a nice breakfast and we enjoyed a delicious dinner there one night. The room was pretty basic but clean. We thoroughly enjoyed this getaway to the country.
