"This hotel is a great place to stay for a family with children! Our kids loved the mini golf course, and we enjoyed it every night and morning of our stay! The staff members were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, giving us tips for vacationing in the area and happily providing us with everything we asked for during our stay. The room was clean and despite the full hotel, it was nice and quiet. Breakfast started at 6:00 and the mini golf was open at sunrise, so we early risers could enjoy amenities right away! Breakfast provided a variety of options, including a fun pancake-making machine that the kids loved. The atmosphere of the lobby was quaint and inviting. Located just a few minutes drive from the water, it was easy to go watch the sunset at the harbor. McDonald’s is right across the parking lot, so very convenient for a quick walk to get fast food. The kids loved the pool. The only negative about the pool area was the hot tub jets were not working and the temp wasn’t very hot. There is a great sauna! I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay in Two Harbors or near Duluth! Also not far from Gooseberry Falls, which is a must-see sight! P.s. Don’t forget to visit Betty’s Pies!"
"Cozy lodge environment with modern clean rooms. Restaurant was great with awesome staff (understaffed though) and great service. Bar and restaurant close VERY early though. Not much space to relax by the water either. But all in all, great place - will definitely return."
"This is so close to the ferry and downtown, we could walk almost everywhere. The only thing I would change is there should be a microwave in each room. It was downstairs by the ice machine. I like late night snacks but did not want to go in.my pj's. Otherwise perfect. I would definitely stay there again."
"This hotel has a nice view of the bay. The breakfast offerings and dining area were good. It is their standard practice to provide housekeeping services only after the third night of the stay, and then they didn't change our sheets. There are a number of restaurants available in nearby Ashland."
"This is a reasonably priced hotel about 5 miles from Bayfield. It is connected to a casino. We received a waterview room which was clean, comfortable and quiet but needed updating. The bathroom was large. Oddly there is just one dispenser for soap in the shower. There was no shampoo or conditioner. Not acceptable. Check in was the worst part as there was just one over-worked clerk checking in the 5 groups in line at 4:00 pm or a Wednesday. It took 20 minutes to get to our room. They need more help at the front desk. The hottub and pool area was not working. There is a lower patio next to the marina and water where one can sit but there are no food services there. There is one restaurant which we did not eat at. They have coffee in the lobby in the early morning."
