Very nice stay in Borca di Cadore. Some improvement can be made (for example the mattresses) but overall the premises and facilities are good. Reception staff is great, personnel at breakfast could be more welcoming. Overall very good value for money and experience.
My partner and I recently stayed here and loved it. Absolutely beautiful building and grounds to explore. The room was lovely and clean with antique furniture to enhance the overall feel. Staff were all very friendly, with amazing service in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and great food. Easy parking and accessibility to the town but just far enough away to feel a million miles away.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Nice sunbar
Check-in was slow and surprisingly disorganized, especially for something that should be routine.
The location and building, however, were lovely. Enjoying a glass of wine at the sun-soaked bar was a highlight—absolutely outstanding.
The restaurant, located in the basement, had a somewhat industrial vibe that felt a bit out of place given the charm of the rest of the property.
The staff was helpful and the room was comfortable. The issue is there was an awful smell from the bathroom - the maintenance crew came once to try to fix it but it persisted. Almost unbearable overnight.
Decent location, great views of the mountains. The room was fine in size and amenities but there was an awful smell the entire time. We let the staff know on day one and they sent staff up to fix it (we believe it had to do with the pipes) and the smell went away slightly. But by our third day it was back with a vengeance - smelled of some sort of dampness or sewage, extremely unpleasant.
The staff were helpful and kind (shout-out to Leonardo). The breakfast was good, but it ended at 9:30 which was at times early for us. The hotel is in a beautiful old building and must require a lot of maintenance as a few things like the balcony windows needed repairs. It was nice to have an onsite bar with a few food options. The hotel is near a paved bike path and there is a bike storage room. We hiked to a fantastic waterfall from the hotel as suggested by a staff member. We liked that there was parking and not in the crowded town of Cortina. Overall, we had a lovely time and would return.
Great hotel that has that old world charm. You can just imagine it is 1940 from the vintage look but still very clean and well kept. The room 201 was amazing, new comfy bed, great bathroom with very strong pressure shower and a view to die for. There was a fridge in the room and a very small t.v.
It was a disabled roo. They gave us for some reason but it was perfect. So much more space and the mountain view was amazing.
Breakfast buffet was ok. Hot food isn’t good. Cold breakfast part is good. Most days the room is cleaned well but one day the room’s floor obviously was not swept.
In my life the worst food experience I ever had!
Staff with friends drinking in the day time on the terrace
Hotel Manager drinking with friends and staff on the terrace, speaking on FaceTime over shouting all the guests.
While complaining openly about the bartender, that by the way was the only one working while manager was drinking rum straight.
Hotel is very very worn out, and the attempts of fixing is so bad done
Pool table broke, ping pong broke, table soccer broke. Nothing works in the playroom.
But have to underline the fact the obvious lead by fear from the manager, that was clear to so from guest
