The property location was very walkable to tour Bologna. Clean and quiet property, we received a code via email to access the property, so we never meet any staff, fortunately we didn't need anything. I would stay there again.

Great location! Right in the midst of everything, a lot of landmarks are within walking distance. But at the same time it was quite at night. And also very safe. The keyless entry was confusing at first but once you figure it out, it’s easy to use.

Located close to Bologna Centrale in The historic center - overall was everything fine - but I was not happy with The automatic looks - to The hotel and The room.

The location of the property is excellent and the owner is easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. Some of the shower was a bit old and dirty. Other than that, highly recommend.

Great location. No front desk or on site.

Location was great. Room was large and could sleep up to 4. Bathroom in the room. Hot water is scalding at first if you are not aware. But as you shower it progressively gets cooler. The hot water does not last long. While traveling, we did not notice the online check in that is required since there is no one on site. Even with direction, getting in and finding the room is not easy. Locks are complicated at first. Cage like small elevator. Perfect for a group of girls or guys, young family. For us, we prefer hotels. I wish Hotel.com would make it more apparent which type of place you are booking.

The room was clean. There needs to be light in the main hallway/corridor. It was dark and hard to see in daylight. Disclose that there is construction outside of the property. It makes a difference as construction starts early.

The room we had was very nice! The building was beautiful and right next to all the shops and restaurants. Check in and out was easy. The owner was very responsive by text and calls. The beds were made beautiful with each of our towels and toiletries. Wonderful stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay here at cavalieris grand! The electronic locks were a little odd at first (unlocking the main door with your code will then unlock your room door as well) but we picked it up quickly. I can see more traditional travellers finding this a little troublesome though. Check in was done online via a form and submitting photos with no contact at all with the host aside from WhatsApp so that’s something to be aware of should you book here and don’t feel comfortable with that. The place was great though and we only had minor, personal issues with it. The host is very responsive over WhatsApp and helped us when we needed them to. Would stay here again!

My wife and I lugged our heavy bags for over an hour in cold rain trying to find Cavalieri’s Grand. GPS couldn’t locate it nor could employees of countless stores we asked. Finally my wife discovered a bar where four or five employees got out their phones and searched, too. They were baffled. One of them volunteered to walk with us to the address where it was supposed to be. It was a small office building but no signage for CG. We learned that the Cavalieri’s Grand was actually a reworked office space among other businesses, including an insurance office down the same hallway. Problem #1 the tiny elevator had a sign warning people that there was a 3 person limit. To get the two of us inside and our six bags meant taking multiple slow trips. Once on our floor, we couldn’t see where to go because the hallways were completely dark. Finally we located our room, using the flashlight to punch in the code numbers on the door. Inside we found a tiny common area that reminded me of my former dentist’s old cramped waiting room. Turned out our room was one of three or so others that once served as offices or possibly for filling cavities. Private remodeled bathroom and decent sleeping area with non-responding A/C unit. Almost no amenities. And don’t leave without one of you staying inside who can manipulate the locks and get you back in. We asked the owner how long away was the airport. He said “I don’t know.” Plan on 30 minutes. Couldn’t get there soon enough

The check in process was very incredibly complicated. The apartment is on the second floor, which is the third floor, which is the first floor on the elevator. Once we found our room, we realized that they did not include the access code in the email. After attempting to contact them for an hour, they informed us that they had sent the code to my phone number on WhatsApp… I do not have WhatsApp, so didn’t get it (all correspondence told us the code would come via email) Once we were checked in the room was adequate. Nothing special, nothing wrong. Bologna is a fantastic city. We will be back to the city, but stay somewhere else.

Gut, aber zu teuer

Gute Lage, sauber, einfach aber komfortabel. Alles läuft via Email und WhatsApp. Die Kommunikation nach der Buchung bis zum Checkin war umständlich (viel zu viele Nachreichen). Schlussendlich hat aber alles geklappt wie es sollte. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt aber nicht, auch weil zum Beispiel das Wifi im Zimmer schlecht war oder die Steckdose am Bett nur funktioniert wenn das Zimmerlicht an ist.
