this is a great hotel in central Bogota near the Oro museum i always come here a great stay , very clean and the staff are mostly very helpful , great breakfast and very good service by Guillermo , he always greats me with smile in the mornings which is very enjoyable and wonderful service the manager Erlinda is very active and you see her involved all over the hotel , she cares about the hotel and the customers , will stay here soon...

Decent budget option in Downtown Bogota
Hotel Virrey is s satisfactory. Its a decent budget option in downtown bogota. The establishment is a bit worn, but the staff for the most part have excellent customer service skills always aiming to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The Breakfast included in price is filling and tasty. Hotel Grounds and rooms have seen better days. It felt a bit worn. Everything was kept clean though. Bed was comfortable, Room with good wifi, Hot shower with good water pressure. The Hotel is centrally located withing walking distance to most attractions in the area.

A bit dirty
The hotel is okay. I changed rooms since there were dirty pillows on the bed and hair in the sheets. When I changed, the new room also felt dirty.

Old, dangerous area, not for families
Hotel is in a really rough area of Bogotá, so bad that the locals tell you not to go outside at night as it is not safe. The hotel is old and needs lots of upkeep. The toilet in our bathroom had no seat, some walls in our room were missing chunks. The restaurant in the hotel was out of most of the items they offered in their menu and what you ordered took forever to be brought out. The staff was nice and accommodating and the room was spacious, but that is pretty much it.

Front desk agent attempted to get me to pay for a room I already paid for online, then scammed me with the food delivery driver by doubling my order without my knowing. Day staff is good, but night staff can't be trusted. It's a well located but also quite dangerous passed 8pm or 9pm. DirecTV just states the bill needs to be paid for the programming to be turned back on (every channel)...

The covers were warm no heating as bogota is cold. But skep super. Actually didn’t need a heater. I asked for a towel but did get it until mid next day. Kind of odd when two people need a towel each. Otherwise it was a nice stay.

Great hotel, clean room and bathroom, fully stocked. There is an elevator, I ate breakfast (free) two of the four days I was there, there is free WiFi and the front desk ladies saved my first day there. I was scammed online of a tour to the Salt Cathedral, and one of the ladies called someone she knew and he came and picked me up, drove me to the Salt Cathedral and gave me a mini tour. They both literally saved my day from being wasted! Wish I had gotten her name, but I so appreciate it! Great customer service!

I was able to drop off my luggage and then check in was more detailed than any other hotels that I checked in. The room was ok but had no luggage rack. The property location is great. The staff named Carlos is very good, hardworking. But the reception service is complicated. They asked us to pay more for the immigration stamp which was not asked at other hotels in Colombia. We paid more 15,000, plus hotel rate, and taxes. It was not informed before we check in. The bathroom door is locked, and the room door is not locked from inside, and etc. Nobody speaks in english. Too many problems we faced here. :-(
