My son is starting Penn state in the fall. I planned to stay here often through the years. Hotel is lovely. Clean, beautifully decorated, spacious. My husband and i went to the hotel bar for a drink/food. The bartender was AWFUL. Obviously wanted to go home. "Oh, the kitchens closed, im sorry did i not tell you they were closing?" They did agree to throw chicken fingers in the fryer only after the server shared that she had just put another food order in. Bartender said to her "honey. No" She took my plate away when i was still clearly eating my fries. I said as much and she said "take it out of my tip". I spoke to the manger. He listened, was agreeable and gave me his card. I've been in the hospitality industry my entire life. I understand you're not always in the best mood and want to go home. This is your job. I'm spending my hard earned money at your establishment. Starting at the hotel and ending at the restaurant. You should invest in better employees.
