"Amazing place to stay in when in Darien. Dave and JoAnn were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The inn is located in the quiet neighborhood. Great views of the marsh from their patio. Room was very clean and cozy. Will stay here again next time we’re in town."

Old southern charm, but with emphasis on the old— our room was as clean as housekeeping could possibly make it, but the carpet had large stains, shower door can’t stay shut, paint on bathroom ceiling and parts of walls cracked and peeling. Tile missing on bathroom floor. Brilliant location right in historic district because hotel is pretty much the historic anchor (former exclusive millionaires club built at end of 19th century). "After a long drive we were welcomed by a friendly lady who checked us in. The room was just what we needed. The lighting is not so bright in the room but the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was hot and delicious including the coffee. Thanks"

"Our room smelled bad. Moved us to another room which was dilapidated and dirty. We were tired and decided to stay sleep and get out early. Unfortunately, not a pleasant stay. Front desk was helpful in immediately moving us to a new room but other than that this hotel needs some work."

"Room was dated and mold in tub and walls of bath. Curtains did not keep huge lights outside from shining into room. Dining table was dirty at bfast. Food was fine and plenty to choose from. As a Hilton Member this one was not a great stay and there are many more choices across both sides of hiway. Would not stay here again."
