"The property was exquisite and the location was close to everything. The only issue was with checkin. We were unable to make a phone call to have someone meet us for checkin. It would be convenient to let out of country guests know that the property manager is available at the hotel next door. This would have simplified the check in significantly. Other than that the experience was wonderful. Would highly recommend staying g at this location. "

"Memorable experience. Very friendly and helpful warden. It really was a jail, so don't expect The Ritz. Shared shower stalls reminiscent of boarding school. Basic double bed, firm mattress. Excellent hot shower. Nice shared kitchen. Couldn't connect to the internet but neither could Ned Kelly. It'll give you a glimmering of what society's misfits and villains experienced."

"It was a good experience. Helpfull staffs and relatively quiet downtown accommodation. Experienced loud music from adjacent rooms during the weekend nights but got stopped by 11:00 pm. The management Seriously need to get rid of that dirty old Sofa in the Matthew living room as it is awful with dirty spots and marks…otherwise it deserve a five star. Will nmot be suitable for elderly folks who will not be able to climb two flight of stairs carrying luggage up and down."

"Hmmm. Positives were few - it was quiet and the tv and heater worked well. Negatives were unfortunately many. The whole space was grubby, especially the shower. There was some sort of leak in the bathroom, with water pooling on the floor. Not sure where it was coming from (I don’t think it was the shower). Under the sink in the kitchen also leaked. The kitchen supplies were limited (we had to ask for another fork) and there was only one lid (that was broken) between the 2 saucepans. The towel...

"Property showing age , could do with a much needed upgrade / repair"

"Studio room was perfect for one person. Really nice and clean, with a comfortable bed and a great bathroom. Really nice staff and location, did not eat at the restaurant/bar but it also looked great! "

The views over the beautiful gardens were lovely, the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and the large bath was a real highlight. There were only a few minor drawbacks. "I stayed for three nights in room 46. It was extremely disappointing. The room looked shabby and badly needed an update. The weather was cold and wet but there were no spare blankets available in the cupboards. No washing up liquid was provided for guests to wash their dishes. No side plates available. The bathroom was very poorly maintained. Both the the bath and the washbasin were badly stained and cracked and looked dirty. The wash basin in particular needs replacing. The towels did not look...
