"Stopped at the Drostdy for the night on the way to Johannesburg and what a treat it was. The staff are friendly the rooms are lovely. Decor is good rooms are huge and very clean with everything you could need . Had a lovely complimentary bottle of wine and snack platter waiting in the room which was a nice touch . Dinner at the hotel was fantastic as was the breakfast. Next time I visit I will be sure to spend an extra day or two and enjoy the pool and

On negative side -large airy village units only have warmish water not hot - village units outdoor showers had waist high weeds - supper menus are 5 course set menus that are repeated & are expensive for quality - restaurant staff lacking management & training - receptionists could do hostessing/oversight at meal times & spot checks on housekeeping/condition of units and gardens to support and train staff but do not - lack of comfy...

"Lovely hotel to stay at when visiting Addo. Rooms are huge and the bathroom is lovely, especially the outdoor shower. Only downside is there is no door so the light comes in as soon as the sun rises. 10-15 min drive to Addo, not much in the local area. Breakfast was good, buffet selection and eggs cooked to order. Nice pool with towels and sunscreen provided which was a nice touch."
