…an island in a farming area… was much better then expected……. Tasty food … functional furnished rooms with big bath room -> excellent - and the best… staff knows how to handle guest who need glutenfree option - for us it was a perfect overnight stay to visit Addo National Park

Lovely hotel to stay at when visiting Addo. Rooms are huge and the bathroom is lovely, especially the outdoor shower. Only downside is there is no door so the light comes in as soon as the sun rises. 10-15 min drive to Addo, not much in the local area. Breakfast was good, buffet selection and eggs cooked to order. Nice pool with towels and sunscreen provided which was a nice touch.

Beware the Disclaimer!

The actual hotel is really very good and the rooms are outstanding. Nice grounds, nice pool and the food was also of a decent quality. Now on a road trip around South Africa, you get used to warnings about safety and taking care of belongings. Here we were welcomed with a lengthy delivery on all the steps the hotel was taking and what in turn we needed to do, which even by SA standards appeared a bit alarming, so made you think the surrounding area must be a huge 'worry'. Then we were presented with a piece of paper to sign that absolved the hotel of all responsibility for any incident howsoever caused and went on so say, we were to indemnify the hotel should any incident arise. It was a total disclaimer! I refused to sign. This was agreed, so I somewhat reluctantly stayed as trying to find an alternate at short notice near Addo would have been very difficult.

Fantastic Hotel close to Addo Elephant Park

Fantastic and very tasteful hotel, they have a baggage trolley but no bellhop to assist so had to use the trolley to move all our baggage twice, other than that it was really nice, beautiful room, really well designed

Das Hotel ist sehr schön, sauber, freundlich und hat ein sehr gutes Restaurant. An der Unterkunft selbst gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Mit dem eigenen Wagen ist die Fahrt nicht lang zum Nationalpark. Das Hotel liegt sehr abgelegen.

Hotel maravilhoso!

Hotel maravilhoso, quarto espaçoso, chuveiro ótimo, atendimento impecável, café da manhã organizado e gostoso. Arrumaram a cama com folhas secas em formato de coração para a nossa lua de mel e ainda deixaram balinhas. Na primeira noite jantamos no próprio restaurante (visto que fica longe da cidade) e foi espetacular. Nossa primeira refeição na África já começou muito bem! Infelizmente visitamos no inverno e não pudemos utilizar o chuveiro que fica "ao ar livre", mas já anotamos para voltar no verão só pra isso!

5 nights stay to visit Addo

Stayed here to visit Addo Elephant park. Overall very satisfied with the place. Staff are superb, room was very nice and clean. Outside shower was my favourite. Food was hit and miss, but good selection on the menu

Tolles Hotel beim Addo Elefanten Park

Wer den Addo Elefanten Park oder Schotia besuchen möchte, der ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel auf neuestem Stand mit viel Komfort und einem sensationellen Badezimmer, bestehend aus einer riesigen Innendusche und einer zweiten Außendusche.

Sehr empfehlenswertes, modernes , sauberes Quartier in Addopark-Nähe. Große Badezimmerlandschaft. Hervorragendes Dinner mit flotter, Frühstück dagegen unterdurchschnittlich mit langsamer, uninteressierter Bedienung.

Excellent choice when visiting Addo

Not the nearest hotel to Addo Elephants but definitely the best. The limited food in the park, one Cattle Baron near main entrance means that you must stay somewhere that can provide an excellent breakfast and dinner. The rooms are all the same, fabulous bathrooms plus an outside shower. Dinner options are wide and reasonably priced. Staff can not do enough to help you.

Tolle neue Anlage mit einigen spektakulären Extras

Das Hotell war überwältigend mit seiner Anlage und der großzügigen Ausstattung hinsichtlich Größe von Zimmer und Bad, sowie der außergewöhnlichen Außendusche. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereiht und freundlich, das Essen war stets hervorragend und ansprechend präsentiert. Auch für Kinder gab es eine (kleine) Spielecke. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Beautiful hotel in addo

The hotel is beautiful, the staff are incredible attentive and the food delicious. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Only negatives were that food was slow to arrive (not a problem normally, but difficult with small children) and there is nothing in the local area so you are limited for dining options unless you drive (a function of the area rather than the hotel)

What a hotel in the middle of nowhere, perfect!

If you would like to go to Addo or to make a stopover, you have to stay there! No rooms, Villa's, best food and unbelievable friendly and helpfully staff!
