When I raised this concern with hotel staff, Chris was very rude and sarcastic and said that the alarm was still “working” because it had a blinking light — despite it clearly being expired and potentially non-functional in a real emergency. This was extremely concerning, especially considering Norwegian fire safety regulations require hotels to maintain fully functional and up-to-date safety equipment."
