Nuit de contrastes. Autant l'accueil de la propriétaire était chaleureux autant la chambre et les communs étaient glacés (panne de chaudière). On peut choisir de conserver un lieu "dans son jus" mais pas jusqu'à ne pas remplacer des rideaux déchirés ou rafraîchir les plafonds lépreux. Dernier aspect négatif pour un logement à ce tarif, l'absence de service de petit déjeuner. Bien qu'idéalement situé à proximité de la citadelle ce logement est d'un très mauvais rapport qualité/prix. Dommage.

Otroligt charmigt ställe och vi blev väl omhändertagna av Les, Clarissa och Stephan. Hotellet hänger ihop med en restaurang, ett galleri och en vingård och vi hade förmånen att få en personlig guidning. En av mina bästa hotellupplevelser någonsin tack vara bemötandet!

if you are content with the modular accommodation offered by the Chain Hotels this isn’t the place for you. But if you would like somewhere with character and history both in the Villa and the town then this is the place. The typically French house is divided into several self-contained apartments with free parking opposite which adjoins a small park on the edge of of the Gironde Estuary and near to the huge Citadelle commissioned by Louis X1V in the 18th Century. The welcome extended by the Owners was exceptionl and the common theme in the Guest book was “We wish we were staying longer!”

A quirky hotel brimming with character

A quirky hotel brimming with character and welcoming staff. Faces the estuary in Blaye, there are plenty of good bars and restaurants in walking distance. Perfect for exploring the local vineyards and the Medoc region is just a short ferry crossing away.

Apartment Margeux was amazing. Clean, spacious and well appointed. Good level of facilities for family self-catering. We were blown away by the high level of dedication and care by the owner and personnel. We cannot speak highly enough of our family stay at this apartment. From when we arrived and throughout our stay the level of customer care was outstanding.

Top appartementen voor een heerlijk verblijf

De Villa bestaat uit kamers en in een huis aan de overzijde bevinden zich prachtig gerenoveerde appartementen. Aan alles is gedacht voor een relaxt verblijf. Gratis parkeren in de straat. Goede WIFI. Fijne ontvangst. Leuk is om op deze wijze de Medoc omgeving te verkennen en de zon zien ondergaan vanaf het terras vanuit het Citadel (op een paar minuten wandelafstand)

La chambre est spacieuse et une cuisine complète est à la disposition de la clientèle. Les serviettes de bain et la literie sont très bien. Nous n'avons pas pris le petit déjeuner sur place. L'endroit a besoin d'entretiens: la peinture est écaillée un peu partout et dans notre chambre, la peinture au plafond a grandement besoin d'être rafraichie. Malheureusement, personne n'était a l'accueil. Il a fallu téléphoner à la propriétaire qui n'a pris que 2 minutes pour arriver. L'hôtel est situé à quelques minutes a pied de la Citadelle, lieu à voir absolument si vous êtes dans la région. Demander une chambre donnant sur la rue derrière ; ce sera plus tranquille pour dormir.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was immaculate. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment and it was very roomy and tastefully decorated, with cool artwork all around. The breakfast was very nice and the owners and staff were very helpful
