"Best hotel we stayed in all of Sweden. Super kid friendly with outdoor playground, mini-golf, water-play, and indoor play area and movie night. Rooms were great and infused with character. Hotel lobby areas were very welcoming with lots of seating and areas to hang out. Staff was quite friendly in general and the breakfast buffet was decent. Best part was the location which was only a 10 min drive from Astrid Lindgren's World and even closer to the cute central square of Vimmerby."

The scary looking building and the dark history should not fool you, it's very modern and tastefully renovated to sort of alternative hotel. "This is a darling hotel, with the restaurant being the highlight. The room was tiny but perfectly adequate for our needs, and was clean and bright. Check in isn’t until 4 pm so don’t come early (though they will hold your luggage while you do something else.) Breakfast was nice as well."
