"Valentino’s is an absolute gem! Fabulous staff who were friendly and super courteous. The rooms are thoughtfully furnished, very clean and with quality toiletries. We ate here too, it was no problem to set up a table outside for us, the food was fantastic! Breakfast too did not disappoint with amazing polite service and Italian food to die for! Will definitely find an excuse to go back to Ripon so that I can stay here again!! "

"Where can I begin with this dream! If I could give 7 stars I would. We have stayed in many 5 stars all over the world, I can firmly put this in the top 3. From the moment we arrived, Grantley Hall was a sensational experience. Issac holding the fort at the front gate, dressed impeccably, welcomed us like family and with so much energy it was like a shot of espresso! "This was a beautiful property on 13 acres with orchards and a lovely courtyard. The room was extremely spacious and meticulously decorated and cleaned. The bathroom was spacious and featured a fabulous shower (Room 3). Sue was a gracious host and prepared a delicious made to order breakfast in a beautiful dining area. Conveniently located to the town of Thirsk which has a James Harriet (All Creatures Great and Small) museum. Well-worth a visit with shopping and parking. 5-stars!"

"This is a beautifully appointed cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's in a quiet location looking out onto a courtyard. Although there is no onsite parking, we had no trouble finding a parking space on the square. Visitors should also be aware that there is no outdoor seating area but we were out and about so this wasn't a problem for us. We would recommend the fish and chip place - but go for small fish and chips! The large are for those with a very large appetite! ...
