The Westin Dragonara Resort, Malta

"We had a wonderful stay at the Westin Dragonara Resort while celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The hotel enjoys an excellent location, the facilities are superb, there were always plenty of sunbeds available, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We were particularly appreciative of the anniversary amenity left in our room. The only slight disappointments were that no complimentary room upgrade was available despite our request being noted in advance, and a late check-out was initially declined before a manager kindly arranged a short extension. These were relatively minor points and did not detract significantly from what was otherwise a fantastic holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Malta and would happily return."

"Staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms spacious. The building work is clearly beyond their control but it was dreadful and there was no respite from it, even at night."

"We were very lucky to receive an upgrade to a sea view room which was great. The superior room we booked for 3 was spacious. Breakfast was pleasant and staff were very helpful and kind. Location is perfect for a visit to Malta where you want to explore as you’re in the centre of everything. Biggest downfall for me was the fact this hotel advertises an outdoor pool, and it is the main photo when advertising the property. However, the pool is infact not on-site and is across the road at an independent pool club (which you have free entry to) but is open to the wider public. This is very misleading if you want to use a pool exclusive to hotel guests/like an early morning swim (this pool didn’t open til 10)"

"It was an excellent stay; the location was great, and the reception staff—especially John—were incredibly friendly. My flight was early, so he prepared something for me to eat on the way; breakfast was included, though I couldn't have it due to the time. It’s an excellent option."

"Everything about the hotel stay was perfect. It was my husband's birthday while we were there and they decorated the room with balloons and banners which was a lovely touch. The infinity pool was amazing. There is construction work going on at the moment but it didn't impact our holiday at all. The staff were so lovely and friendly. I will be definitely be going again."

"The room and property was very clean. I got club access which was beneficial. I got to use the lounge for drinks, relaxation and pre-dinner snacks. The breakfast buffet was complete and full of variety. The rooftop pool was lovely and I used it a few times. Walking distance to the main area of St Julian. Let’s stay here again."
