Great place
Gayton B&B is a lovely place to stay. The hospitality is second to none. There is such a warm welcome. John and Kim are brilliant hosts. I have stayed here 3 times now and intend to rebook again for next year. This is a great location for the NEC. The house is about 3 minutes walk from the train station and the NEC is one stop away, the journey takes approximately 5 minutes to Birmingham International, right in the middle of the NEC. The rooms are very comfortable and light with a good bed. The large bathroom is very modern. The breakfast is hard for me to comment on as I only have the delicious homemade muesli, but the cooked breakfast smells very good 😊. Parking is easy. There is a pub to eat, a quick walk down the road and a few minutes drive away, in Knowle, a good selection of places to dine. Overall a great place to stay.

An absolute Gem of a find.
John and Kimberley were 2 of the nicest people you could wish to meet. Please don't let the "shared bathroom" put you off staying here. The facilities were brand new and immaculate and I had a lovely hot bubble bath to ease away the aches and pains of a long day. There is also a walk in over head "rain" shower separate to the bath. Sheer luxury you don't often get in some hotels. Lovely comfortable bed too. 5* breakfast with masses of choice. An absolute Gem of a find.

I had a lovely overnight stay here at the gay ton, was very handy if you needed to do anything in Birmingham because the local train station is only 100 yards away with direct routes to both the international and new street stations. The room was lovely and spacious and the breakfast was great, I would have preferred it to be ensuite but as I was the only guest that night it was fine. Lovely hosts very helpful.

A little Gem
This is the second time we have stayed here and love it. The welcome and service is fantastic. The room is large and bright and the bathroom is spacious. We loved the breakfast, a full English with a choice of bread for the toast. The parking is easy and free. Access to the NEC is great. The train station is less than 5 minutes and the NEC is one stop away on the train which appears to run every half an hour, cost £2.50. The best thing about this B & B is the hospitality, second to none.

A perfect location for visiting the NEC (a 5 minute walk to Hampton-in-Arden Station followed by a 3 minute train journey to the NEC). The proprietors were helpful and friendly and the cooked breakfast was first class. The B&B is set back from the main road and is in a very pleasant neighbourhood. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Gayton because we were visiting The back to back houses in Birmingham and the following day we were visiting the NEC. The location was perfect and we were given a very warm welcome. The room was spotless and the breakfast was superb. If possible we will stop again if we visit the NEC next year. We drove into Birmingham but then realised there is a train station nearby which would have been easier.

The owners were fantastic hosts really welcoming and friendly. The room was tidy and comfortable. The property is set back from the road so traffic noise is minimal and is close to a very good pub where we ate both nights of our stay. It is also a short drive from the NEC and airport. Would highly recommend staying here

Very welcoming on arrival and offered to fill my thermos with tea next day. Nice room but water flow from basin in my room was poor and intermittent. Bathroom was shared which was not a problem with other guests rising at different times. Lovely hot power shower. Amazing breakfast with very friendly service. Introduced to other guests at the table. Would highly recommend this B & B if visiting NEC as a 3 minute train ride away and accommodation price is much more reasonable than Birmingham 😊

A great place to stay - ideal for the NEC
My daughter and I stayed here for the Horse of the Year Show at the NEC. The location is ideal for this, the station is a 3 minute walk away, the trains run every half an hour and the journey time to the NEC (I think it's called Birmingham Central Station) is a 4 minute ride away. From the station there is an undercover walk directly into the NEC which takes a matter of a few minutes. As the show ended quite late we decided to catch a taxi home, which we took from the NEC Birmingham Central Station and the taxi had us home in a matter of minutes as the taxis don't get caught up in the car park traffic jams. Gayton B&B is wonderful. The couple who run it (whose names I have unfortunately forgotten) are extremely welcoming and accommodating. We twice changed our arrival times and both times we were told this was not a problem, thank you. The vegan and vegetarian diets were catered for, the vegan eating a yummy fruit salad and a really good homemade muesli. I noticed a full English on the menu and toast, juice etc. The bedroom is big, bright and cheerful with tea, coffee and biscuits. The bathroom is very spacious and is located next door. The whole house is very well presented and the atmosphere is warm, welcoming and the couple are extremely helpful and kind. We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

After arriving met with a friendly welcome and cup of tea. Just what was needed. We were given good advice about places to eat locally and train links. Advice taken and had a good night at the chosen restaurant. Good breakfast. Recommended.

I booked my stay at the Gayton as it was very close to the NEC, which was where I needed to be for the GAMSAT exam. Just one stop away, and fairly cheap tickets. Felt amazingly welcomed - John and Kim went out their way to buy me a vegan breakfast! Even prepared me a small fruit salad! Power shower was brilliant and the room was lovely and spacious. Certainly going to book my stay at the Gayton again - whether that will be a visit to Brum in the future or resitting the exam! For all this and the price, I highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed our stay here, john and kim we’re lovely and so friendly they gave us lots of help on getting around, the only thing is we felt as though we were living with another family not a B&B there was lots of personal things around, it also could have been clearer especially in the bathroom and signs as to, how does the show work but apart from that the place was great. Cleaner bathroom next time please

Wonderful hosts. Unfortunately one bathroom for four rooms. One guest (male), spent an hour in bathroom! I think a polite sign on bathroom door, reminding guests to respect that other guests use this bathroom would be very useful. The bed was the most uncomfortable we have ever slept in. Lumpy, springy, noisy, flat pillows. Needless to say not much sleep, and this was needed for a full day at Crufts! Breakfast was lovely though.

Stayed overnight before a Stampin' Up convention at the National Motor Cycle Museum. Lovely host and hostess. Room comfortable, breakfast lovely. Couldn't do enough for us. Gave us tips for local dining, hints on how to get to convention centre, and also where my husband could stay whilst I was busy all day. Let him stay in the lounge all morning reading the newspaper, before he checked out. Will definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.

We only STAYED 1 night and left at 4.30 in the morning for an early flight. The owners were very accommodating and the bnb is perfectly located for a quick 15 drive to the airport. Highly recommended.
