They are doing a lot of construction around hotel right now, so if you're sensitive to sounds starting at 5am then I suggest stay elsewhere until they finish.

Red Roof Inn Birmingham South
This was a great value for the price. The recently upgraded room was clean and comfortable, although I am not a big fan of heavy air freshener. The shower was hot with good water pressure. I would stay here again

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Birmingham Hoover
Clean room although it’s a composite type flooring and not carpeted which surprised us a little but we assume that’s because this is a pet friendly place and that easier to keep clean. Breakfast was good and appreciated. Pool was nice.
