"We chose this hotel for the location. And it did not disappoint. We walked to the village, the marina to rent a kayak, alpine slides and several restaurants. We knew ahead of time about the construction and the pool being closed. So I did not account those things into my review. We stayed in the hotel portion with a queen bed. It was clean and comfortable. Although we didn’t use them, I liked the option of the fridge and microwave in the room. We did hear quite a bit through the doors/walls, but...

"The room was clean and the staff very friendly, however, the toaster was broken and the can opener was cheap and bent to the point it was not useable, the office informed us they were not able to give us replacements. We were told it was a full kitchen, but there was not an oven and there was only a mini refrigerator. The toilet in the bathroom clogged up a few times but we were able to finally get it working without calling the front office. There was no air conditioning only a portable fan so...

"We loved out stay! Our cabin had everything we needed, and space to chill. When it got a touch warm, our hosts were quick to bring us a fan. The property is super cute with a modern vibe and a perfect kitchen. Our kids loved the queen bunk beds and the games in the cabin made for great memories. We’ll be back!"

"I hate to give such a bad review. My family began staying at the Goldmine Lodge in the early 1990s, so it had some nostalgic value. This weekend was the first time since 2007, and the property is really run-down. The wall heater didn't work, and the BBQs were rusted out and unusable. Most of the switches didn't work, and the kitchen window was broken."
