"This is such a cute little cottage like room. Marginally eclectic in a good way. The room shows some wear from many travellers passing through but that didn't bother us. Everything felt clean and cozy. The only thing you should be aware of is the queen bed we had has outlived its time. It is super soft and sags to the middle. However, I would take that over a hard bed any day. Staff were so great and there is a restaurant right on site for all meals and is reasonably priced. Really enjoyed our time here and would recommend this stay!"

"Ruth and Herman made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door! This place is beautiful!! The leaves were stunning. The rooms were comfortable and had nice touches like bowls and plates. And glasses and ceramic mugs for coffee. We didnโ€™t get to eat at the restaurant bc it was closed but if we go back we definitely will. It is homey and Ruth was baking homemade bread as we checked out. She was so accommodating in every way. Very kind and helpful. The stream behind the cabin is breath taking. The drive there is beautiful in the fall, but it takes about 30 minutes on the dirt road and you need to be careful of the potholes. Arrive before dark if possible."

"Recenty stayed for a night on Chetticamp Island and they are correct. It is a beautiful view. We were suppossed to stay a night in a large 5th wheel trailer but there was a wind warning so the owner upgraded us to one of their cabins. The cabin was excelent and has everythng you need. I would definitly stay here again when traveling around cape breton."

"This was a gem. The room was cozy, bright and well furnished. Real glasses and coffee cups along with a Nespresso machine with plenty of coffee pods were great touches. Complimentary snacks and waters were also appreciated. Itโ€™s a converted house with creaky wood floors and space under the doors so if you had noisy neighbors you might not have as pleasant a stay as we did. There was a jar full of ear plugs on the night stand which we took advantage of and didnโ€™t hear our neighbors at all. Finally, the staircase to the second floor is a bit narrow and steep. Just something to be aware of."

"Very clean. They had room to make the shower bigger, so that would have been nice, but not a deal breaker. Great view, beautiful property. Invested hosts. Sheer curtains or windows cling to allow light in whike maintaining privacy, would be nice. Ice machines. Though the host provided ice which was great . Would recommend"

"Our room was clean but on the small side. The included breakfast was meager, some bread and jam and cold cereal with coffee and orange juice. Dinner was not very good. As the price was fair for what we got I probably come back again"

"This place is run by a couple. They live on site. Lonnie, her husband and the 6 puppies they live with. The site is directly on the ocean. Clean and well maintained. Convenient to the Cabot Trail. Great accommodations!"
