This was a great option for three guests (couple and an adult child) and a week long stay. The rooms are small but have everything needed. The shower was wonderful - nice hot water and good pressure. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a lovely spread of breads, cereals, meat, cheese, eggs (hard boiled & scrambled), jams, sliced cucumbers, yogurt, etc. - more than ample to start the day right! Lastly, the location is perfect. No more than a block or two to restaurants, subway. grocery stores, Ka De We dept. store, etc. We enjoyed the Christmas market nearby. Downers - limited selections on the TV (doesn't have Netflix or other streaming options with Roku) - would have been nice but wouldn't have used much anyway.

This is a very old hotel and requires taking the suitcase at least one floor by yourself, location is great.

Great place, wonderful breakfast, clean
Loved the place. Friendly service, excellent brunch buffet, and clean room. They did a good job with the corona rules, with hand sanitizer everywhere and encouragement to wear masks, etc. Unfortunately, not all the clients were following the mask rule (prob okay since #'s low in Berlin for time being). The only complaint is the pillow had no support to it - I had to bunch up my bedsheet and use it as a pillow.

Only a 1-night stay, but we'll return again! The location is so convenient. Breakfast spot a few steps away was perfect as we did not opt for the breakfast included option at the hotel. Transportation options so simple. Quiet despite central location.

We stayed for 3 nights in the hotel, which is located in a quiet area. We were in room 11, a triple one, on the first floor. The room was quite spacious and spotless. The nearest U-bahn station is 2 min. away and there are also pleasant restaurants in the area. The hotel has its own character and the service is perfect. There is a coffee machine in the room. Ku-Dam is a few blocks away and is a nice option for a stroll. Bottomline: excellent value for the money, excellent location.

We had a good sized family room but the bathroom (just a shower room) was TINY! Great location though with lots of restaurants just round the corner. Less noisy from the road than we thought it was going to be.

We liked the style of the building and interior. Our room was very spacious for the 5 of us. Breakfast was great. It was wonderful to have air conditioning in the room. If there were shower doors instead of a curtain, it would be easier to keep water off the floor. We would enjoy staying here again.

A hotel in a great location, however it didn’t feel welcoming and is dated. The large room that I stayed in was very big and spacious which was good, it was kept clean, however no air conditioning during a heatwave was an irritation.

Easy to find and in a good location, not far from the underground at all. We chose this hotel because it was extremely cheap and you get what you pay for - in 32 degree heat all we had was a fan in a 4 person room and no fridge. Bathroom was absolutely tiny. Staff were rude and abrupt at check out. Worth paying a little more for somewhere with air con for definite, no ventilation in the bathroom and the entire room was boiling constantly.

Good stay
The hotel is old but well maintained. The only down side was not too have an air conditioner. It is very hot in Berlin at this time of the year. They provide you with a fan but it is not enough. The location is perfect!, people is helpful and very nice, breakfast is great. It was good for what it was needed.

Nice quiet hotel with spacious room. Within five minute walk of Wittenbergplatz U-Bahn and there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby.

Friendly Staff
The hotel has a great location and a friendly, helpful staff. While close to a busy intersection, we found the place surprisingly quiet. Our room was not luxurious, but it was entirely comfortable. As in other hotels retrofitted into older buildings, you had to walk up or down a flight of stairs to reach the elevator, and our bathroom was a tight fit, but this was part of the charm of the establishment. I would certainly stay there again or recommend it to a friend..

Just around the corner from the Ka de We. Hop off the U at Wittenbergplatz and you're about 3 min walk. Location excellent. Staff are lovely. Breakfast is certainly not the highlight but you're metres from cafes etc. What I would say is there's a smoking balcony by reception and the floor absolutely stinks of smoke. Otherwise, rooms great, staff great, we would come back.

The staff was friendly and extremely helpful since my German was limited. They were patient and the breakfast buffet was delicious with many items to choose from. I already miss German coffee.

Short Family Stay in Berlin
Our family-size room was surprisingly spacious for our family of four. We loved the set-up, with a king-size bed and two twin beds, one in its own small, connected room. The hotel's location--right off the Ku'damm and steps from the U-Bahn (subway)--could not be beat. The hotel even had parking passes for spots right in front for a very nominal fee. All in all, a terrific value for a great room in a great location in the center of Berlin.

The hotel have a very good location and every things around you and famous KaDewe store is very near , I booked a Triple room was good size but the shower is not working and also the room was in first floor , so u have to carry your luggage ,and i made my reservation from very long time that i want second or 3rd floor but they say there is no availability

We enjoyed our stay here in Berlin. Friendly staff, quiet location very near U Bahn so convenient for getting around. Comfy beds, great shower really nice staff. I would happily stay here again.

Perfect location! One block from Wittenberg Platz uBahn, and KaDeWe is on this Platz! Also post office, grocery store. Our room was clean, had small refrigerator, heat worked well, and comforter was long enough for 6’3” husband. Room was quiet, service desk was courteous. Shower was small, but had nice hot water. While fine with us, there were ~ 10 steps up to elevator. Then elevator stop is between floors, so walk up or down 10 steps. We would stay here again. Price was very reasonable for city and location ! Btw, paid breakfast available, but never tried it.

Great location for events in the gay district - just been for Folsom '17! Located very close to wittenbergplatz station and the shopping district of KadaWe this is the perfect hotel for a shopping and sight-seeing weekend away.

This hotel has lots of character with the wide stairway entrance, high ceilings, large room and classic German breakfast. Relatively convenient location to the U-Bahn and a 10-min walk to the S-Bahn.

Bra läge i gamla Västberlin
Mycket bra läge på detta hotell som ligger bredvid varuhuset Kadewe i gamla Väst. Lite slitet men helt okej och mycket billigt.
