Definitely not staying here again...
Checking into the hotel is weird. If you come after 4pm there is no one at the front desk to help you, so you have to go to the gas station across the street to collect your keys. The elevator was broken so we had to carry heavy luggage up the stairs, which was super inconvenient given my mother is disabled. The curtains in the room were broken and there was no way to cover the windows completely, hence zero privacy in our room from the main street view. The room itself was okay and was separated for 3 guests which was the only plus side. The neighborhood was a bit sketch at night.

I'll start by listing the good things: - The hotel was very clean - The beds were comfortable - The area that was safe, even late at night - The Internet signal was very strong - The price was very reasonable The things that could be improved: - The elevator never worked. I have a knee injury and had to drag my luggage all the way up and down which caused further injury - Some curtains were missing, and there was not enough of them to block the Sun light. Luckily, my trip was in October so the Sun rose later in the morning, otherwise I would have been awake at 5 with the Sun shining directly at my bed - In my 8 days stays, I never saw a single staff member which was really weird! The only person that I saw was the cleaning lady. There was literally no one to address any issues (such as the curtains) - They have a breakfast cafeteria on the first floor that stayed closed, and was never open - The heating knob was fixed and cannot be changed (most likely because of the current energy crisis). I had to wear thermal underwear to be warm enough to sleep, but everyone responds to the cold differently Overall, the stay was much better than I initially thought it would be, and I would definitely stay there again if the curtain issue was fixed, and the elevator worked.

I found it unfortunate that I didn't receive a response to my message that I would be arriving at the hotel late. It was also not entirely clear to me how to open the door of the hotel after I'd picked up the keys from the gas station across the street.

I returned at 10.00 at night. The street door, inner door and back door were wide open. I contacted the receptionist four times in the next hour and a half and was told twice it would be sorted out, then twice I was unable to contact him. I managed only to lock the back door with one of my keys. At 11.30 I packed and left, since the other doors were still wide open. Although it is clean and quiet, I cannot recommend this hotel because I found it unsafe. I asked for a refund from Expedia whose hands were, alas, tied. They asked the hotel, and, alas, their 'policy' did not allow them to refund. Both hotel and Expedia need to wake up to the safety of women travellers.

No parking, no wifi, but clean sheets I guess.
Basic hotel, but clean and comfortable. Unfortunately I was there because the owners' Hotels dot com listing claims they have parking included (as opposed to "parking available," or just neither), which turned out to be untrue. They have no parking, unless you count the street, which, as it's Berlin, you shouldn't, because good luck if that's your plan. I wound up having to park a moving van across the street at the Shell station (shout out to Shell for being cool), then wake up a 6am (because the fuel delivery truck was scheduled to arrive that morning) to go move it to a nonexistent parking spot somewhere in the area. That took 40 minutes to find, plus the walk back, which made for an excellent night's rest after helping my friend move into their new apartment until 11pm. Oh, and their wifi doesn't work. They provide the wrong password, for some insane reason. Just a goof, maybe? Anyway, don't stay here if you have a car or a limited data plan.

The receptionist was very kind and accommodating and helped in whatever way she could regarding how to get around and where to find stuff. It was very cozy and felt right at home. The place was clean, sheets fresh every morning. I definitely recommend!

Good value stay in hotel apartment but noisy road
Staff here were excellent, friendly and helpful. Cleaners also came every day to the apartment. Unfortunately, the room in our apartment directly faced the main road, which was very busy and loud in the mornings as well as cranes working. The living room was quieter, and there were beds in there to sleep on, but there are no blinds, so the light comes straight in. Apart from that the apartment was nice and clean, although the kitchen could have had more facilities than just 2 hobs. The living room is very spacious. The hotel is 5-7mins walk from the station and there are some OK restaurants and bars nearby. It is good value.

Basic hostel, small rooms, but reasonably equipped. Hair dryer and universal wash- no conditioner etc. Very small rooms but fine for overnight. Breakfast buffet- all you can eat for €8, nice and fresh, plenty of choice- hams, smoked salmon, cheeses, bread and toast, eggs, yoghurt, fruit etc. plenty there. Not the nicest area but near to Grenzallee U train- 3 minutes walk.

The staff were really helpful, bringing me ice packs for my swellings! The room was small and bed was against the wall! No room for cases or movement.

great hotel for exploring berlin
We checked in early and from that moment we were looked after very well. the staff were very helpful with tips, information and knowledge of berlin. our room was clean ,tidy and comfortable. all in all a wonderful stay. only 20mins from centre of berlin and loads of restaurants and pubs in the area to enjoy.

Unfortunately there was a fault with the light in the bathroom but there was a lamp in there so I could see but it wasn't brilliant! They had run out of black tea bags - apparently Germans like coffee not tea. The wifi didn't work on my laptop although my iPhone was ok. No idea why. The neighbourhood isn't the best (hotel near a massage parlour) but the hotel is a short walk from U7 so convenient for Tegel airport and the Estrel centre ( where I was attending a conference). Breakfast wasn't included in the Hotels.com price which I hadn't noticed when I booked.
Finally we solved the bug and could replace the whole bathroom lamp - thx for your boost;)

Overall I would say it is a good hotel. Decent amenities for a good price. Good location for the train. Staying in the summer time is a little uncomfortable as there is no fan. So your only option is to open the windows,which allows alot of noise to come in. Loud people and cars driving by will become your lullaby. A minor note, the pillows had no support to them. I am not a picky person but this pillow provided no comfort. So bring your own pillow and in the summer time, bring your own fan.

Clean hotel with a great smelling breakfast
The hotel room was comfortable, with standard amenities. The bathroom was large and clean with good water pressure. Unfortunately, the hotel is not air conditioned and the curtains didn't quite cover the windows to keep it dark, but it got cool at night with the windows open. The best part of the hotel was the smell of fresh baked croissants at the breakfast buffet every morning. That was a really nice touch and the owner was generally very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood didn't seem very nice, but maybe that's just Berlin.

Nice cozy hotel in neukoln
Stayed here for 2 nights and it was nicer than expected. The room was comfortable even though it wasn't that big. The bathroom was nice and shower was really powerful. The hotel is not near the main sites but close to the train. Parking is available on the street. Breakfast wasn't much but there are some grocery stores in walking distance and gas station next door. If you arrive after 7pm u must pick up your keys from the gas station since no staff is on duty. That was the only issue but overall it was a great value.

Clean and tidy with great wifi connection
I stayed here for a business trip and it was very comfortable. There is free parking on the street just round the corner and access to the hotel by car is relatively easy. The room was clean and tidy and the internet connection was quick and reliable. The only minor complaint was that the walls are a little thin and noise does tend to travel down the corridors. Apart from that I would definitely stay again.

Well located family apartment

The room itself was nice and comfortable enough. It was acceptably clean, and the shower was wonderful. It was a little annoying that the windows didn't have screens--we were there in October, but the room was still quite warm and mosquitoes ended up getting in. It's not in the best or most convenient part of the city, but that's why it's cheap. The biggest problem for us was that the internet simply didn't work in our room, making it incredibly difficult for us to do any planning or confirmations for the rest of our trip. We ended up having to give up one evening to a Starbucks so we could have working wi fi and missed our Cold War sites tour on another day. It was really disappointing and it made Germany and Berlin a lot more frustrating than it needed to be. If you're traveling and have a phone and sim card that will work in Germany, this probably won't be a problem, but for international travelers it might be an issue.

A lot of places in Germany don't need an AC... But the place doesn't have nets for their windows, leaving us a present of a few large bugs in our room when we cracked open the window. However, the staff was good, and the food was excellent.
