We used this as a base for our trip to Berlin and was out all day so didn't use any hotel facilities. You have to catch a tram to Potsdam across the road from the hotel and then a train to the centre of Berlin about every 10 minutes. There are shops opposites including a supermarket
Met out expectations. The location the hostel is build at is not trying to win a beauty award, but the connection towards Berlin and the inner city of Potsdam is great. Also through the night Trams are available.
The rooms are large and even got an hair dryer. Only the pillows lack in comfort.
The crew is friendly and helpful.
I would recommend this hostel!
The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was good.
My husband really enjoyed the sauna. The tram stopped right across the street.
Hotel felt very clean and rooms were very big. Trams could be heard a little bit up to the fifth floor but did not keep us awake. Restaurant did very nice dinner for reasonable price. Dog was welcomed to stay for 9 euro extra and sit in the restaurant outside with us.
The room was spacious and bright. Though not a city centre location, there are abundant and public transport options. I thoroughly recommend

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Room was nice and spacious, bed is firmer than I liked. Staff was excellent, neighborhood needs a little upkeep. Price was good for what we got, I just wish the bed was a bit more comfortable.
Conveniently close to stops for trams to Potsdam and Griebnitzsee. Very reasonably priced. Comfortable, clean rooms.
No kettle in room but I was able to ask for a Wasserkocher at hotel reception.
Good in The restaurant traditional german schiezel very nice. Big Room 30m2 very nice stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Parking was not friendly and easy to miss if don’t pay attention. Room didn’t have microwave and refrigerator was very small that can hardly put leftover in it or extra drinking water.
Hopefully we were just unlucky. It started out fine, but when we came to politely complain about the cleaning standard of the room (bathroom to be more concrete), everything started going sideways - all due to a complete absence of service minded staff. To cut it short: It was not possible to clean the bathroom because cleaning staff had left the hotel earlier (we arrived around 5pm). Second no other rooms were available for us to swap - although we could find available rooms on the hotels website (that argument didn't convince the receptionist). As a result, we had to clean the bathroom ourselves as good as we could with shampoo and lots of hot water. After being in the nearby center we came back 8pm and wanted to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant, but were rejected for some random "german" reason (kitchen stop taking orders 8:45pm). When complaining about this to the receptionist and asking why she didn't tell us to book a seat before we left for town, the explanation was that she couldn't tell this to every arriving guest. I asked her if we needed to book a seat for the breakfast buffet - the answer was clearly a no. We had dinner at a nearby vietnamese restaurant. Next morning we were rejected at the breakfast because we were not "on the list", so we had a nice breakfast at a nearby baker. The rooms are big, but warn out, and this clearly used to be a smokers hotel by the looks and smell. Beds are OK comfy though. No apologies when explaining the above during check-out!
