"Brilliant location with fantastic public transport links. Regular trains and trams and only 10 mins from Centraal Amsterdam Staff were brilliant and in particular Ayasha who was so helpful and happy everytime we spoke with her. Nice continental breakfast. Would definitely stay again"

"30 mins from the centre on the 391 bus which goes from a 10 minute walk away. Buses seem to run every 15-20 mins. Area is light industrial, but was very quiet, probably one of the best hotels for a good nights sleep we've found. We always like B&B hotels, staff here were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good value, plenty of it. They don't offer an evening meal but were more than happy for us to use their plates and cutlery to eat our evening meal in the dining room/lounge. It's a fair walk to the shops if you need anything, best to pick up in Amsterdam if possible. Excellent pizza delivered from New York Pizza co. Even taking in cost of travel to and from Amsterdam centraal our stay here was substanstially cheaper than elsewhere, would certainly recommend."

"Very friendly staff. Interesting location. It’s a short ferry ride to the hotel from the main station in Amsterdam. But the ferry is free and runs every 15 minutes. Nice restaurants on site and nearby. Staff was very friendly. And the room was clean and comfortable and quiet"

"Overall I enjoyed my stay at Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station. The hotel was close to the train station which meant it was easy to get out and about. The room I stayed in was very spacious with ample room to move about. The bathroom was also larger than expected. The only minor dissatisfaction with the room was I could see the Girl with the Pearl Earring painting in the room had what looked like some liquid streak on it which you could see at an angle, as well as some liquid streaks on the door that opened up the area for where the kettle is. One thing of note to anyone looking to stay at this particular hotel. There are major roadworks going on in front of the hotel which means the access to the train station is to go around the roadworks which isn't a lot more walking but still a detour to direct access. Whilst we were there which was over the weekend and a couple of days into the week there wasn't any actual work so there was not any noise disturbance. However, I can imagine that being an issue for hotel guests when work is going on outside the hotel."
