Keegans is a great option for those wishing to kick back, enjoy the sun and gorgeous beach at Lowe Bay. Staff friendly and eager to please, front desk amazing, wait staff fun friendly and service oriented.

The beach is absolutely beautiful! Keegan’s was a great place to stay, simple, clean and just fine for what we paid. Nothing fancy and that was just fine!! The staff is nice and when our AC didn’t work they had us move to the room next door and all was well.

The windows of the cottage were unique. Loved that there was a screen in place for the windows. There was a dead bolt lock but we didn’t have a key got it. We were given a key got the knob lock but I didn’t feel this was very secure. I would update the locks so one key works for both. We didn’t get any wash clothes. Luckily I brought mine from home we were supplied with two towels for showering and two got the beach. Outlets were all occupied so I have unplug the microwave in order to charge my phone. Loved that the beach was right across the street Loved the hot water! Wow it was just right The toilet is very close to the wall in front of it. I had to sit sideways. The king size bed was very comfortable

Beautiful rooms at a great rate. Food was a little pricey though but was good. Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere! Kid friendly. My toddler loved the beach and staff.

The location is superb! Literally steps away from a beautiful white sand beach, simple but clean accommodation and friendly staff. Sharon the receptionist was exceptionally professional and welcoming, we truly felt like valued customers. Keep up the good work Keegan's!

Sweet and simple, but one doesn’t need much more on this idyllic island. Right on one of Bequia’s best beaches, and central to everything. Staff were particularly welcoming. Though there are a few fancier places to stay on Bequia, I’d happily return to Keegan’s.

I was in the Cinnamon room, and although the room was ok it’s proximity to the kitchen was unacceptable. I asked to change rooms and staff did offer me an alternative which was next door to the cinnamon again not acceptable. I was reimbursed for one night as I could not stay in the room another night. I must add that Staff were helpful and friendly.

Just got back from 7 days and I can highly recommend this place. It is right on the beautiful beach in Lower Bay, easy walk to the market, the staff is amazing. We were in one of the cottages and they were clean and very pleasant. We will be back again.

Good and Bad Experience
In general, Bequia is a beautiful Island, no matter where you stay, you are bound to be content with the natural beauty around you. Keegan's beachside is a bit far from the port so you have to take a taxi, walk to a bus, or take a trail between 2 beaches. We booked a room with 2 twin beds to accommodate 2 adults and a child, they did not have a room available so they added an extra bed in what was originally a room with a single bed. The room was very cramped and difficult to get around. Furthermore, the staff did not alert us of the situation beforehand, nor did they offer us any compensation for the unexpected changes. Also, the rooms have European outlets, and they not have any travel plug adopters. On the other hand, the staff was polite and extremely friendly, and the room was clean.

Beach it at Keegan’s in Lower Bay of Bequia
Great beach spot for a base to explore Bequia. We rented a car and went all over the island, but this was one of the best beaches...along with Tony Gibbons ( aka Princess Margaret beach). Loved this spot!!!

Ideal location
Ideal location right on the beach (Bequia's).."Interesting" place to stay, rooms very clean and comfortable if a little basic but as described.Staff wonderfully friendly,cheerful and helpful Food however was very disappointing - tried several breakfasts, lunches and dinners - meagre portions, always cold vegetables, much of the barbecue night food was also cold, pork chops nothing but bone and fat. Service incredibly slow. While it is taken for granted that everything moves at a much slower pace on Bequia, this was slooow. even though the place was not at all busy.Just don't think the cook cared! Also worth noting that number of visitors apparently falls off quite dramatically early March the place went very quiet while we were there. This coincided with what we were told was a seasonal wind which blew for the 10 days we were on the island. And it is a very strong wind - some nights we thought the roof was going to come off! Unfortunately Lower Beach (where Keegan's is located) seems to bear the brunt of it and the beach on some days is virtually unusable unless you want to be sandblasted. (Strangely, just around the corner Princess Margaret beach was largely unaffected). Would we go to Keegans again? Yes but we would eat at other places nearby where the food choice and presentation was vastly superior, better quality...and warm!

Nice budget hotel by the beach.
Nice hotel by the best beach in the island. Good location and transport link by taxi or walk up a steep hill( not a problem) to catch the bus( dollar van) to most part of the island.

Friendly small hotel. Recommended.
Great accommodation right on lower bay beach. Really friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant menu is a bit limited but maybe it's off season and it will change for high season. The Saturday night BBQ is good value also the Friday night happy hour! Lovely sitting on the bar/restaurant deck over looking the beach. We were in a studio room, very comfortable, good air-conditioning and good bathrooms. Proper shower with very hot water! Beach towels supplied and beach beds available for hire. Some snorkelling off the beach towards Port Elizabeth. Walked back and forth into town, it takes about 30 minutes each way but it's a super walk and will soon be enhanced when they finish mending the board walk from Princess Margaret beach to Port Elizabeth. Would highly recommend Keegans, have no complaints at all with this hotel.
