"Mountain and ocean view. Kitchen well equipped. Comfy beds. Relaxing sitting area. 10 minute drive to larger grocery store and fruit stands. Small shops for essentials near by. Local beaches were not crowded compared to the south. Even though there was no A/C the pedestal fans made it quite comfortable. Perfect place to enjoy the local culture. "

"La Sagesse is an incredible boutique resort. The property is beautiful. La Sagesse bay is the perfect location to swim, kayak or just relax for the day. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. The restaurant on site is amazing. The staff, namely Sammy and John, are wonderful and go above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience. The owners, Mike and Lynn, make a point to meet their guests and share their local knowledge and insight. I highly recommend booking here if you don’t want the crowds and need a place to truly relax. "The hotel was terrific once you were inside the property, It is very beautiful and the pictures are accurate. I also had an amazing massage at the spa. However, the neighboring area of the hotel was very busy and loud. I often heard sirens during the stay. My only complaints about the hotel were that the food was just okay and housekeeping did not normally show until 4-5pm each day. The dining could really use an upgrade. Service was very slow to bring meals after ordering and food was fairly bland. Food at the Silversands beach club was better, as was the beach area. The beach there was spectacular, cleaner, and more private than the one in front of the Silversands Grand Anse."
