"The tiniest hotel room I‘ve ever seen. You could only enter the bed from one side and the shower doors only opened less than 2ft. No parking, no restaurant. Doors are locked 24/7, and the rooms are locked with gigantic old-fashioned keys that don‘t fit in any pockets (note, you also need to lock the room door from the inside, something that I haven‘t seen in a hotel in decades). "Stayed at St Georges for a 5 night cycling trip. Family run hotel with very helpful staff. Hotel is clean, well maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast was good. There is no restaurant or bar as such but you can still get a beer or soft drink with crisps and sit outside in the sun or in the lounge area. Parking is perfect with charging and a secure lock up for the bukes. Short walk into town. Definitely recommend and ideal for a cycling trip."
"I have stayed in many high end hotels throughout the world and I have to say that this experience was superb from start to finish. Staff could not have been more professional and helpful. The room was superb and the setting was also great. All rooms are individually designed and the building dates back to the 15th century, so is characterful in many regards. If you're in Chambéry and you want a really good place to stay, I would strongly recommend this hotel."
