"The Staff were very friendly & very helpful throughout our 4 day stay. A perfect hotel right in the middle of everything 150 yards in any direction, the 7 kilometre beech was fantastic. A great 4 day break, with the help of the hotel staff. Thank you All."

"Everyone at the hotel was nice but it’s ruined by the obnoxious chap who runs the bar… they advertise it’s open till midnight. Came in about 10.30 and having a nice chat with another couple. Got served then the bloke disappeared, returned once to serve the other couple after a long wait then didn’t reappear till 1145 to announce that its midnight and that the bar is shut and ‘no you can’t have another coffee’. Bloke was dishevelled and looked like he’s been sleeping. Mercure is a good brand - I expect much better. I won’t be returning!"

"Stay was excellent However no soap / shampoo in Toilets I mean this is common and every day necessitates Towels was not included And Beds was not make over I mean linen was not done So basic necessities should be included Otherwise all good "

"Good facilities, good size for 6 people supermarket 5 minute walk away. Spa and pool excellent the kids loved it, well equipped kitchen. The only problem was the smoke detectors are very sensitive, there's one on the bathroom which was triggered by steam from the shower and one was set off by spray deodorant, so security show up and say there's a problem and you have to open the balcony door, not ideal in winter. Overall a good stay."

"Staff very helpful, safe storage for our bikes which is a big plus. Room very roomy and clean. Definitely recommend."
