"Beautiful property with amazing staff from reception to house keeping. Sofia from house keeping made us feel so at home offering us extra water when I mentioned we drank a lot of water and checking on us when she saw us in the hallway. Kindness prevailed at this hotel. "

"We had a comfortable room with a patio overlooking the Douro River. Staff very friendly. The only negative from our point of view was the window from the shower into the room. The botton 2/3 rds are translucent and upper 1/3 clear. If a light is turned on in bathroom bedroom is lit up as well . Also the obvious privacy issues. Other than the the room , hotel , staff, bar and restaurant are great."

"We had to leave without staying. Their promo said wheelchair accessible parking so we thought that meant that handicapped people could stay there. When we got there we were told our room was on an upper floor with no elevator. They told us there were no rooms to match our expectations but we were offered a first floor room in an annex which was a very long walk across uneven floors and not the same view or accommodations as we had paid for. "The staff was amazing and the facility was spacious and clean anywhere we went. There were great spaces to releax by the pool, enjoy breakfast, and sun. The staff was extremely helpful and offered to book a win tasting tour nearby which was such a pleasant experience. I would come back to stay if I were in the area."
