"We enjoyed our stay very much! Originally from Maui, Ocracoke reminded us very much of old Lahina and Paia towns. Black Beards Lodge is funky and awesome. Our room was clean and comfortable with great rocking chairs out on the front porch to watch the birds and people watch. Its a great location for walking to restaurants and just up the street from the Ocracoke Coffee Co. Only minor suggestion would be to attach a hook on the bathroom door. With the windows open the bathroom door of our room wouldn't stay shut. We will definitely be back for another visit! Thank you for your hospitality!"

"Convenient location. Amenities were scarce — Bring your own soap and shampoo. Bedding was comfortable and room and bathroom were very cleaned. Cable and/or Wi-Fi was spotty. Overall, it was good location for a night or two"

"I did not enjoy a place that was not cleaned appliances was dirty. Microwave was dirty rusted out stove was dirty and had rust on it. Refrigerator had rust on it. No part of the apartment was clean to the degree that it should’ve been. It has not been vacuumed. The sheets were dirty. it was not the kind of place I would ever run again."
