"Just spent my birthday at the Riu Plaza and it what an experience. The staff went above and beyond and made my day special. I stayed at their 1 King bed deluxe with sofa bed. The room is on the smaller side as everyone mentions but it has everything I needed. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was big and with a rainshower, ac/heater works well. "The place is beautiful and the staff are very helpful and friendly. But there were two issues: I awoke in the middle of the night to find that the blackout curtains didn’t work, which was an issue considering our room faced a well-lit parking lot. Also, we wanted to take the 7 am airport shuttle, but it was filled with a tour group so we would have had to wait half an hour, which was not feasible. So we had to pay an outrageous amount for a taxi."

"The room was spotless and cozy, the bed was very comfortable, towels were so white and soft, there’s everything we needed for our stay, the staff were courteous and friendly, breakfast was simple but satisfying, perfect location and the charging station on site was a plus for our electric vehicle. We’ll return for sure.
